I've seen in the last month or so more kids with rugby balls and Salford tops on out and about than for many many years, it's become kind of hip to be a Salford fan.
Also had a fare on Saturday spot my Salford badge and tell me we are looking at his nephew along with Wigan, you'd guess in previous years the name Wigan would turn heads but currently we have more cache than we have had for decades, the club needs to try and ensure this continues.
I personally hope for a huge drive to get kids signed up, there will never be a better time to infect kids with the wonderful disease that is being a Salford fan 😁

Junior Reds, is it still going? If not needs a kick start, absolutely agree MR, that's where we all started. But not heard anything.

There can never be a better time to approach companies with an eye to sponsoring a Junior Devils drive, good press all round and getting the brand associated with a rising SL team getting lots of column inches. Said it so many times get into Aldis ribs as with a new store opening next to the stadium in time for the 2020 season what could possibly be better press than to be involved with Salford juniors and be seen in the local community.

My nephew has just signed up with Salford Roosters U12s and he says that 5 or 6 of his mates from school have recently started there... he used to play in goal at wendyball and has switched to RL for the biff 😃..... must be a good sign?

I personally would have done a half term camp on the back of the GF, strike while the irons hot, only snag being a lack of players around to help out I guess.

They’re a good team. They were ball boys at the grand final team. Hope he does well. We’ve converted a good few footballers into the u13s team. Some still do both. A few do union as well but it’s great to see the lads enjoying league so much. We’ve grown the junior section at the roosters a lot over the last few years. We’ve got a few regulars at the AJ Bell and a number who come occasionally. The run to thff ref grand final got a lot more of them interested. 300 people came to GF from the roosters. I suspect we’ll have a fair few more season ticket holders from our team next year

Little (if any) outlay for the club but priceless memories for Junior players and good impressions in the bank if we host a future local superstar.

They do things exactly like that MR. They have the local clubs as mascots/big flag on pitch most weeks. Bucket collections are always an option and there’s usually a few a year. They do tournaments before some games with free entrance for the kids and reduced price for adults, send players out to training sessions and schools. There’s done playing in the pitch at half time but could be more and kids do a lap of the pitch when something happens - my team got to do a lap of the pitch at the Cas play off game to show off a trophy we’d won. There could be more and it’s not the cost that stops it, it’s more about having enough staff in the foundation who sort it all and the amateur club volunteers having time to co-ordinate it all with their teams
