Took an elderly couple to Hope Hospital earlier and he spotted my Salford badge and started to wax lyrical about the 'good ole days'
One which if true was brilliant.
Apparently there used to be a guy stand outside the Willows with a tray of pies and a jug of gravy, his schtick was he'd shout Dog Pies.
Except that it wasn't a his chtick he was actually flogging pies made of dogs he'd killed, when he was arrested they decided he couldn't be charged as he was actually selling what he said he was.
Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Got a ring of urban myth about it. Love these types of stories though. It's big business in Korea apparently there's a Nice & Tasty dish called gaejangguk Which I definitely didn't eat while visiting a South Korean Naval base a few Decades ago, Can you imagine what a Visitor from abroad thinks of Black Puddings Tripe And Fried pies Sausages from Some Chippies
