Someone mentioned the coach on here - it’s not Naylor. I imagine all the players will be kids and amateur players from around the local area due to our budget. I can’t see it producing any first team players for a few years.

The coach is Danny Barton apparently. Top lad Danny. Played a couple of times for us after coming through our academy. in the 90s/noughties I think. He’s currently part of the coaching set up in the foundation and is the best of those in my opinion.
Will be interesting to see about players. The fact that we’ve released the likes of Lawton, who would have been classic A team material back in the day, suggests it will be kids stepping up from the college teams.

I thought it had been mooted that it would be a regional team mixing with Oldham, Rochdale and Swinton. Did that idea fizzle out?

At the year end Wood Olpherts Johnson, JJ2 etc.and that good young half back who was around at the end of last year. What happened to him?

I think so MR. I think it’s meant to mainly be u23s with a few first teamers as you’ve suggested. But can’t remember where I read that now
