Just read that he says it’s time for little town clubs to stop being in the Grand Final, it makes a nice story but doesn’t grow the game. He says names such as London, Barcelona,Toronto are the way forward and is the only way to get greater coverage on a global market. Me thinks he sees an opportunity to make some cash. Toronto aim to be in the Grand Final in 5 years and there are loads of company’s, TV and the like waiting to jump on board.

"little town": the City of Wakefield (where he was born) is internationally acclaimed. They talk of no other British city in little towns like New York, Madrid and Tokyo.

Interesting, of the 51 cities in England, the only ones playing RL are, I think, Bradford, Leeds, London, Newcastle, Salford, Sheffield, Wakefield and York So is it worth having a word with Hasting's agent and tell him there's no future for him at Wigan and so he's much more secure at Salford, or of course Moscow or Reykjavik

I also wonder how he explains that the best national RU team in the world, is New Zealand, with a population half that of London
