Thought I’d start a new thread for this week’s game. 19 man squad announced:

Strong squad. Johnson coming back adds more depth up front.
It's going to be an anxious end to the week. I'm literally nervous already.

No pressure on us. All the pressure is on Wigan. This will feel like a home match with the support we’re taking. Wigan are judged by winning trophies and they’ll be very nervous after last week. We’ve already over-achieved and will just be enjoying the day, win or lose. Salford by 6. Can’t wait.

I drove to the DW last time.... this time I'm knocking off work early for a few beers in Swinton before jumping on a 60-seater coach with fellow Reds.😎
I think this Salford team has at least 1 massive performance in them this season. I know this may sound a bit defeatist but even reaching OT would be like being crowned SL champions for us. The publicity, number of curious locals attending etc would be huge for a club the size of Salford. With 4000+ Salford fans expected we need to get the atmosphere rocking before kick off and get behind the lads for the full 80 minutes, come what may. We may not be in this position again for a while so we have to make the most of it.

Even if we fall short, the team will give it their all. 3000+ fans singing their hearts out will be fantastic.
Wigan have had 2 really difficult games and were quite fortunate to beat us last time. They will either bounce back from their performance at Saints, or they'll be bricking it that they lose to us.
80 minutes away from a Grand Final... unreal!

I feel like we’ve already won something. The last trip to Wigan felt like a celebration so I expect this to go up a notch whatever the outcome. It will be tight again but we know what to expect now - cut out the mistakes of last time and we can win this. It all depends who has the most gas left in the tank.
Last time walking to the game felt like preparing for a job interview though - Friday will be even worse! Once it starts I’ll be ok but I’ll be a wreck beforehand.

Tomkins: “Most important to us will be our fans and the noise they make, because it does have a massive influence on us. When you are out on your feet and then you hear a couple of thousand people roaring for you it gives you the lift you need to keep going.
“We may not have the biggest fanbase, but when they get behind us they do make up for that by being so loud, and alongside the Wigan fans it will make for a great atmosphere which will really spur us on, just as it did last time we were there.”
MOSSOP: Re the last Wigan game "That's the best away support I've ever known in the whole time I've played.
"They were so loud and you can't underestimate how much that means to the boys when we're playing"

Can't link to it but just taken a picture of a home made poster for tomorrow's game, down Blackfriars.
Well done however it is.

There have been a few - Ricky Hatton, Frank Warren and Gary Jack did little videos. The Jack one was really good - had the old shirt on and a photo in the background from back in the day.

No Twitter- there have been a fair few. Ah that explains it, I'm on a permaban on there 😂 Just picked someone up from the stadium and they told them 3600 tickets sold, you'd think that it will end up north of 4000with walk ups.

Just set up a new account and behave yourself?? They, and some fans, have done some good stuff lately.
On fan numbers, Heppenstall (Guardian and various others journo) just tweeted we are on for 4000. Away end will be bouncing. Train journey home is looking less and less appealing though!

As of tonight we have sold 3416 so with pay on the gate and selling tickets upto late afternoon we could break 4000
