Really good podcast on the BBC site. Dave Woods talking to Ian Blease . States we have 12 players coming next season and it will not be easy to get them integrated in. Blease seemed gutted with the players which are leaving but no choice. We are approx £500.000 under the salary cap for next year, so when you also budget the extra that goes on marquee players by other clubs it's amazing how well we've done. If we Get to Old Trafford it would really help to finance us for next year, because obviously it's not budgeted for.

Depending if you include Lannon and Johnson then we know 9 to 11 of them - that leaves 1 to 3 left. We’ve been linked with a couple of others but they were barely rumours and I’ve seen nothing for weeks.

I think 8 are confirmed leavers from this years squad: Hastings, J Jones, Olpherts, Griffin, Bibby, Sau, Tomkins, Wood (9 if you include Lui who is technically still our player until end of season) I suspect these might be off too: G Johnson, Murray, Nakuwubai, Lawton, I would have thought that Lawton would stay given we have a reserve team to fill and he’s not on much. But he is still waiting to hear apparently. Johnson and Ben also said nothing sorted yet for next year Incoming confirmed - 7-9 depending on if you include Tui and JJ2 Sarginson, Tui, Atkin, Brown, J Johnson, C Jones, Pauli, Greenwood, Ormondroyd Plus probably Williams, Kear, Lannon, Yates * edited to include Ormonroyd/Ormondroyd/however you bloody spell it |

I think counting Tui in these 12 ‘new’ players would be pushing it. But if we count Lannon and Johnson that takes us up to the 12. Maybe one more if we get to the GF or save it for a rainy day? |

I did have Ormondroyd in my list but forgot to type him in!! I’ve added him now for completeness. I agree Tui abd JJ2 shouldn’t really be on the list and likewise Lui on the leavers

Is he as good as Kevin Brown ? Whoever Signs him will get a half decent player, Plus he no longer counts on the Overseas quota.

No great surprise there. Has the build and size to be like Alex Walmsley but unfortunately doesn't seem to have the heart and desire to go to the next level. lower Championship player at best. |

I see on another Planet in RL John Bateman at Canberra may be leaving the Raiders to Move to another NRL Club because he's not happy with his £200'000 a Year Contract poor fellow !! A contract that he's still got a remaining two years left on. I believe there raising the Salary cap Next season in Oz. |
