are we at home next week? Nope we're away as we finished below both Wigan and Saints in the league. It’s not that, it’s because we lost to Wigan in the first game. Loser of tonight’s game was always getting home advantage.

There was a mention of Blease giving details in LE interview about how beneficial us getting to the final is, anyone know what he said?

Chears LR, makes nice reading for a change.
I simply can't see now how we can't get bigger and better commercial interest and surely if the club is looking for backers or new ownership the time has never been more right.
As an aside with John Wilkinson be at the game? Do wonder if the board will invite him along!

No worries.
A couple have been asking about that on Twitter. I’m not a fan myself at least not of giving him a big role - nothing against JW but I think King and Co deserve as much of the limelight as possible.

I'm not talking about having him lead the team out just being a guest of the club on the day, I'd say the same about the Doc as in their own way both have given us the club we love and many happy memories.

Yeah sorry- was referring to the Twitter requests really. No problem with them being there at all.

Without JW the Club, King, Rosler, Koukash wouldn't be around. (You seem to know a lot about the Club are you Kings pr man or King?) JW a great guy, who put his heart, money and soul into the Club. Made a mistake when the RL was supposedly bringing in new ground rules which we Widnes Leigh obeyed and Wakefield and Castleford ignored. They survived Leigh and Widnes didn't JW wouldn't ever want to lead the team out, too modest a man, but he should be honoured on the great day. He started and maintained what others have inherited.

Now hold on - in no way was I downplaying what JW had done for the club but he had his moments to savour (e.g. Wigan 96) while he was in charge. King seems like a decent chap and grants most requests but I personally think it’s a bit off to ask him to have JW lead the team out when a) he’s no longer involved and b) King has put everything (inc. his mortgage) into the current club. I’ve no affiliation with him but I’ve got a lot of respect for him. You didn’t even know who he was last week - this is exactly why he deserves his time in the limelight rather than JW or Koukash who, all respect to them, had their time.

FFS ladies all I asked was if was going to be there.
JW should be brought in on the day by the club, for no other reason than to acknowledge our clubs rich history, Dr K likewise. The current chairman of the board should naturally lead the team out, it is his baby so his privilege.

Not your fault MR, my fault for not pointing out that I was referring to the request elsewhere for him to walk them out. It’s all good!

Seems everyone is fighting for the spotlight. Nobody suggested JW should lead out the team, just that he should be there and honoured.
As for leading the team out, the two people, in my view, who've done most without any doubt and who should lead them out are the two people who have put the team where it is Watson & Blease.

Dr John Wilkinson OBE According to Wikipedia was the longest serving Chairman of any sporting club in the world. Deserve immense credit for keeping us afloat along with his business related sponsors, and his financial input. It all ended rather sadly, but if he was to be acknowledged, even very briefly, it would be marvellous for him, his family and the fans who attended during his tenure IMO. .
