If the person who threw the flare on the pitch is identified he should be banned for ever attending another match.I think that other supporters from other teams might dwell more on this than what good rugby our team are playing.i just hope it doesnt put off any new supporters we have got coming.

It was a full on signal flare not a firework or smoke bomb unfortunately. Two were identified, handed over to the stewards and have been dealt with by the police. Their names and pictures have also been passed to the club. King has said the club will comment shortly but let’s enjoy the win for now - can’t disagree with that.

Flare* It's been thrown completely out of context because it was a Salford fan I've been to home and away games where these are used by other clubs and nothing gets said, you want to go to eastern European F*#tball games to see the real effect of these
I'm sure the lads will be delt with but once again the club has been given a bad image and bad press and a couple of hyped up fans. Perhaps tighter security measures next time because my question is how did he get it in to the ground in the first place

I said it on another thread but a big help to us here is the fact that Warrington have had a few issues with this already this season.
The RFL won't punish us after they've not made a fuss over them.
But whoever it is needs banning not just for a season but for life, makes it more of a deterrent.
I do though fear that Friday will turn seriously ugly if we put KR down, the lack of braincells that will come over the hills makes it inevitable sadly.

The Points Difference between Hull KR and London Broncos is 54. The only way KR Can get relegated is if we score over 54 points and London Win ?? Correct me if I'm wrong ( Which I probably is - are- Am)

Still think London will lose and go down.

No if London win and we beat KR they go points clear so no issues with the points difference.
I doubt it will happen but we can all pray.
As I see it Huddersfield , Wakefield , London and Hull KR are all on 20 points, if 3 win and the other looses it doesn't matter.

Nothing has been blown out of proportion here. This wasn’t an Eastern European football crowd in a massive stadium (where I agree they can look really impressive). It was a small tightly packed stand with a lot of children present. If the idiot had just lit the flare and held it then it would have been unnecessary but not too bad.
Unfortunately when the stewards came towards him he just threw it about 10 feet and legged it. He was caught just behind me by the stewards with other Salford fans helping to identify and stop him. The flare meanwhile landed in the middle of the crowd. It hit one person in the face on the way down and burned another’s coat. Someone in the group it landed in then picked it up and chucked it onto the pitch.
At the time I thought that was v bad but actually what were they supposed to do with it when it is at their feet burning with small kids around? Chucking it on the pitch looks bad but it’s safer there than in the crowd. So the guy who threw it onto the pitch may have been a knob or may have been doing the sensible thing.
After it went on the pitch there was 5 minutes of pushing and shoving and lots of verbals amongst Salford fans around where it was lit
But the guy who lit it and chucked it into the crowd cos he was scared of the stewards is an utter moron who should be never allowed near a Salford game again. Someone who claims to know the group claim he’s not a regular fan and I didn’t recognise his face but it seems odd for an occasional fan to bring a flare with them
It was an utterly stupid thing to do and we have been rightly called out for it. It might only have been one person but the club will always be tarnished if one of their fans does something like this. Too many Salford fans on twitter trying to make out we’re being unjustly criticised which is just nonsense. It’s always a big deal on the rare occasion a flare is thrown on the pitch and I can’t remember one being thrown into a crowd before. It’s less of a big deal when they are lit and held.
(As an aside Salford fans are getting increasingly precious and mardy on social media, whinging at every criticism or anything other than outright praise. It’s getting embarrassing at times)
The positive is that the Salford crowd gave him loads of grief and helped the stewards detain him. Photos and names have also been shared with the club. Hopefully that will deter anyone else from doing anything similar
The worst thing as I and others around me at the game said at the time is that it has distracted from our historic win at Headingley

The only reason I would like London to stay up is Due to the away Game or Games in the smoke. 2020 could have three good away matches Catalan Cockneys and Toronto, But we'll end up playing them at the beginning of the Season and Playing it at Newcastle or London Skolars Stadiums
