Fully deserved call up for JJ who has been outstanding since we signed him. Few names on that list though who are getting in off the back of their names/reputation IMO.
Didn't Jacko say he'd be keen to pull on an England shirt with his mum being English? Seems to have quietened down on that front so has he now changed his stance?

That Austin and Coote have been picked just shows how poor SL is, Handley in on the back of being leading try scorer but Evalds who is 2nd not picked while a McAussie is.
Would love to see JJ's name on the BBC as a Salford player but think they'll put him down as being a Hull player though think technically he'll still be our player.
Think the GB ship has sailed now, used to be much more appealing when there was a plethora of Welsh RU converts (and Tait & regrettably Carney) to make it a truly GB side.

A few middling players in there but it is only a training squad at the end of the day.
What bothers me is Shaul making it - he’s been poor and his defending in particular isn’t up to that standard. Now I wouldn’t have picked Evalds either because of his defending but if you are going to throw in a small attacking fullback he is head and shoulders above Shaul. Despite being a grade A plonker, Hardaker should have been in there.
