I can't think of another time we beat Wire three times in a season... Genuinely, the best Salford team I've seen since starting watching us play over thirty years ago. Last time we got in the playoffs I think. Then got battered by Bradford. As you say Carnster this is the best team for many a year. It also shows that have a winning team and the fans will turn up. Losing Jacko and JJ will be tough but I honestly think with the recruitment made for next year this form can carry on. Players actually want to come to Salford now, who would have thought that.

I thought the plan would be to do nothing flashy in the first half, keep it tight and then second half Warringtons fatigue would kick in. Plan worked as far as I could see.

The only thing you could be disappointed with last night was the £3 80 a pint.

Des anyone know how many Bury and Bolton fans turned up? I suspect not many Bolton fans, as they still have a club to support.

Similar to what Carnster said, the fact that we turned around such a shoddy first half performance in such a high pressure game should not be overlooked. In years gone by we would have been beaten. Earlier in the season we wouldn’t have been able to shake off the nerves at halftime- I think that Huddersfield game was a turning point. Now we just need to play from the first minute in these big games and we’ll be a team absolutely nobody will want to face. To say that the first half performance was shabby,is in my opinion unfair and off the mark. The first half had no tries but was a high class tough showing of two teams determined to get the upper hand by sheer hard work and graft. We have all seen us involved in games like this before and usually we get second prize. Without our first half effort there would have been no platform to build on. Remember just my opinion. Fair enough but two knock ons and two needless forward passes (if I remember correctly) just when we were building pressure on their line isn’t up to the standards we have seen this season in my opinion. That in itself is a positive though and I really wasn’t trying to be negative with that comment; just highlighting that they’ve come a long way since the Hull and Wigan home games for example. Maybe ‘shoddy’ was a bit much - I’ll happily retract that.

I know it's been done before but how on earth can you serve such low quality beer?

As complete a performance as I've seen for a long time.
Diabolical referring for both sides.
Honestly quite sickening chanting from our own fans.
Watson, manager of the year.
Hastings, player of the year.
As for everything else, just harmony, all players in total harmony.
Tui, hell yes, stand of come battering ram.
Dudson, to many dimble brains slated him when we signed him, he's Welsh ergo Gill is a belter.
Moose, gets crocked and then comes back like he never missed a game.
TM, unheralded, the type of player you miss when he's injured.
Nial, for Gods sake we need to keep feeding him the ball, just want to see a Salford player top the scorers chart.
Welham, I just despise that he's Ginger. I mean come on so good but a red headed genius.
Welham, fugging AAAAA, total legend.
Jacko, the sooner we are rid the better, I mean honestly how long can Joey keep making JH look good ;-)
Obviously a few brewski’s were had👍 agree with most and love the passion. Thought the ref was fine tbh and didn’t really notice him so in my eyes he did ok. NO.
I was being ironic.
Honestly there was less to grumble about (I know that's the perception of me) than any game for a good few years, can't pick fault in any player after last night (well from Wolves Maggie Philbin needs a new stylist and there's an unacceptably ginger type).
Total commitment and love of the red shirt from 1 - 17.
What pissed me of more was some of the chants, might be I'm getting older but some of the bile was just inane.
Some of the reffing decisions were shall we say perplexing, Tasi wades in after driving our players head into the ground but we still get penalised being the perfect example.
If we could bottle that atmosphere we'd be on the money, for a Thursday night that was incredible and it makes me cringe to say it but the ex gay power ranger with his drum really helps.

Excellent win! Bit of a gritty arm wrestle in the first half, but we scored some decent tries in the second without really getting out of third gear. Was mildly disappointed with not nilling them, but I can't complain too much - 3 wins out of 3 against Warrington isn't bad at all. Was the last time we did this back in 2006? More impressive this time round I think given Warrington have been second only to Saints for most of the season. I hadn't been to a match for a while so I really enjoyed it, great to be back on the Südkurve . Pretty decent crowd as well, especially for a Thursday Sky match. I know a fair few were Warrington fans (and that's not a bad thing, it's all more money for us), but the South Stand near where I stand seemed fuller than normal. Hopefully we can get a bumper crowd for the Hull KR game, with potentially a lot at stake at both ends of the table in that game.

Did anyone watch the game back on Sky?
We said that we could hear them during the game giving Warrington props for the short turn around, the heat at Wembley and being so courageous.

It was a very poor-quality 1st half of Rugby League, in attack anyway.

MR which chants are you referring to?
Not a fan of the drum myself. Can't get my head around how people can stand in silence for 20 minutes then suddenly spring to life when a mascot appears with a drum.

Can't get my head around how people can stand in silence for 20 minutes then suddenly spring to life when a mascot appears with a drum. I can't stand any musical instrument in a ground and believe anyone found holding one should be shot on sight. Apparently Wire fans were singing endless anti-Saints songs last night but I have no idea as all I heard was the tedious drone of that f*cking drum. I'd rather stand in a soundless stadium than listen to that din. Tragic thing is it'll only be magnified next week when we go to the home of the West Yorkshire Philharmonic, Headingley. As for the game. Pretty poor first half, riddled with schoolboy errors, poor decisions (from both players and officials) which played right into Wires' hands. 2nd half we just came out firing and they had no answer. I honestly don't give a toss about their supposed short turnaround, injured players etc. They chose to go on a 3-4 day piss up after Wembley, which is unprofessional in my eyes. If they'd had a big blow out Saturday night and then rested up, trained etc they MAY have had an ounce of sympathy. However, we've now beaten them convincingly 3 times this season so I genuinely believe we're the 2nd best team in this league. No matter what happens from here on in it's been one hell of a season and all the players should be immensely proud of what they've achieved against the odds. Bring on the Rhinos... we seriously owe them one after last year's debacle and we should take a huge following across to the dark side and create a hell of an atmosphere.
