Having it in London, at a vastly over priced venue and on a day when train travel down to the Capital is all but impossible is insane.
I'm not interested in attending it unless Salford make it so it's a moot point but I'd not have an issue of it being closer to home and being more accessible.

It’s the prestige of having it at the national stadium though. You lose something having it elsewhere. I’d rather not give up just yet - let see how the date change goes.

Summer rugby kills crowds because people do other things in the better weather. In the winter it was a reason to get out. Sad yesterday to see so many places empty with two top teams there and the Widnes game, sad as it appeared nobody was there.

I’m not convinced- I hate going anywhere and doing anything in the Winter and I lived in Norway for a while so should be used to it! If we want new young fans to turn up they are not going to do it In inclement weather - these ‘millennials’ are not a hardy bunch.

Sadly from June to September lots of people do other things. But there's never an ideal answer.

I enjoyed the final and the tvcovrage, only downside was when Hicks disallowed saints try without going to the screen and when he did go to the screen Thaler disallowed, what looked a good try for warrington. They don't seem to be able to get it right with or without technology

Not totally convinced it was a try as we only saw it from one angle, seemed as though it could have been knocked forward. But hey they got a try given by the ref when they fumbled the ball over the line against us. Perhaps it's life getting into balance. Must admit compared to RU video reffing there seems a long way to go.

Agree it was hard to tell from that angle but it was a mistake not to go to the VR - shame as he had a decent game but will be given allsorts of abuse for that mistake.
On the Wire ‘no try’ - the VR just applied the rules. But they could do with looking at those rules again as there is no way you would know that he’d touched the player in front without video evidence. Not sure how you could change it without opening it up for abuse though.

That's the big difference with RL and RU video analysis. They seem to apply more common sense, track other things, scrums forward passes etc and help the on field ref. The jobs hard enough and they need any help they can get.

It's also the Weekend before the Olympics starts in Tokyo But that wouldn't have had any affect on the Crowd at Wembley with the Time difference and also you wouldn't be able to do a Day trip from Japan.
I'm in the Qualifying competition for the The Decathlon , Once it's confirmed that Cycling from the supermarket while wearing a backpack full of shopping while having a Crate full of beer tied to the back wheel mud cover and Walking across the sewer pipe to and from my local bar Over the canal is confirmed by the Olympic committee.
