Is coaching consultant a posh way of saying assistant coach?
Also the article says his first game was Wire away, which means we've won all 4 games since he's been involved. Let's hope that it continues tomorrow.

I think it sounds better than saying Assistant on a temporary basis and he might have started his own company and we'll be paying his through that to save everyone a few quid.

Gonna call this now... Rowley in as assistant - Watto leaves for a bigger job in 2021 - Rowley moves to head coach.

Thought Scott Naylor was slated to take over from Gleason, we need a bigger coaching team than just 2 but I'd not want Rowley taking over defensive duties as he just teaches thuggery.

Some ridiculous comments doing the rounds on social media- he’s been in position since the Wire game and a) we’ve won each game since then b) discipline hasn’t changed one bit, and c) most importantly Watson is still the boss so what he says goes ultimately.
To be fair, it is mostly people who never attend games spouting nonsense and abuse but there are a lot of them.

Agreed, unfortunately we have some right clowns in our fan base (as most clubs do) most of whom have never played the game in their lives. Luckily, I don't follow any of them on Twitter but occasionally I have to read their stupid comments following a Tweet from the clubs page. Rowley is a great appointment for the club and brings a wealth of experience as well as an attractive brand of footy (sound Australian there don't I) and if the players and Watto like his that's all that matters. I could imagine him being very hands on and motivating, I wonder if he'll start going onto the pitch for team talks during the game?

Think a lot of things are said on here with a sense of humour, irony, tongue in cheek. Which adds to the gloss. The problem with social media is that some effectively live on it, want to be noticed, not the sharpest knives in the drawer and consequently show what they are, morons. Why bother with it. What use does it serves. Doesn't seem any purpose in it to me. Let them dwell in their own whirlpool of idiocy.

Thought it was Noble who wanted the (Biff) in Toronto's game, to accomodate the Canadian,s love of biff in ice hockey, and not Rowley
