It would be interesting what the reception would be if the next deal said OK the contract is worth A during the regular season so each club will receive an equal amount B. You'd see your Leeds, Saints & Wigan crying foul if that was the case. But if you think about it unless the RFL say each club receives a certain amount that's the only fair way to go. Is it RFL or Superleague who organise the deal? Either way they have a level plying field - just like the one at Batley and sh1t rolls downhill.

At the last supporters Trust meeting I recall Paul King speaking about the difficulty the club was having in budgeting and he gave the following example- Before the season started Salford Red Devil’s were informed that we would get four home TV games, for Friday games we would get £15000 per match and for Thursday match we would get £20000. We have had one Thursday match as I understand and no others so that means that we have lost out on approx £50000 that we could have budgeted for but for which we have not received anything. Leeds have been rubbish for most of the season but have possibly been on Sky as many times as any other side and have presumably been paid the Sky money accordingly. The present payment arrangement for home TV matches should be changed as it is unfair on some clubs and favours others.

A fairer option.
Say the annual revenue in total is £1,200,000.
Split the money 12 ways and then the clubs get equal pennies, the clubs with better marketing people can sell themselves.
There can't be a fairer way of splitting the cash.

The Warrington game is being brought forward to Thursday for TV as is the HKR game, not sure if that is Thursday or Friday yet. Looks like the social media pressure is beginning to bear fruit

If the games are moved to Thursdays then there's already 2 people I would have attended with not going to be able to make it, so while it will be good to get more exposure in the media I'd guess crowd figures will be down. Time to get the East stand full of school kids for the cameras.

Social media pressure on Sky - the tweets have been pretty relentless for months (and rightly so in this case).
I echo MR’s concerns, although I welcome the Sky exposure - moving those games probably counts me out of attending.

I know it will impact on attendances but with the £20k for a Thursday game the club should be a net gainer in the end

I know it will impact on attendances but with the £20k for a Thursday game the club should be a net gainer in the end I’m not complaining- the positives definitely outweigh the negative of me and a few others not being able to attend. It’s less about the money and more about the exposure though. If for example we secure a playoff spot live on Sky with a decent performance (no guarantees but it’s possible) that could bring in a few stay away fans for the knockout games - as we saw with the cup semi final they do turn up occasionally. If given enough notice I can probably make the KR game anyway.

The crowds can't really go any lower so we might as well take the TV cash.
What was Sundays bumper attendance figure? Didn't see it announced anywhere.

If the wire game is being brought forward that’s a pretty short turn around after the final?
