Just been speaking to Ian Watson's mum in the pub and she was telling me the lengths he goes to in order to meticulously prepare for every game, and how difficult it is to continuously recruit new players when our current crop leave at the end of the season.
It goes without saying that he's a bit of a miracle worker given the financial constraints the club works under.
I didn't realise that his Dad was a massive Swinton fan and still hates the idea of him coaching Salford, let alone playing for us in the past!

Hence his recognition on being added to the GB coaching staff.

Watson is a miracle worker. Never underestimate Ian Blease’s role. His knowledge of the market and ability to recruit within the financial constraints make him the ideal partner for Watson

All the coaches who have won something in the Super League era have spent a lot of money doing it. It's the same with football All the so cold x factor managers Fergie Kloop and Pep they might have star dust in one hand but they had a big cheque book in the other.Ian Watson is doing a brilliant job.
