Looks like he can monster teams.
Doent look like he’ll be coming back.
He was a project but why has it failed ?

I'd be disappointed if we don't retain him, the few times I watched him he looked like a bit of a beast and would definitely add to the squad.

I have no idea. At least we gave Levy and Bennion a sniff last season - this lad had about ten minutes most of which involved defending our line. Obviously we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors but you’d have to imagine it rubbed Watson up the wrong way.

I think the last game he played for Salford at Wakefield was the final nail in the coffin.
He was appalling and Josh Jones shouting for him to be taken off just about summed it up.
Good idea but just never worked.
Championship player at best.

I hadn't heard about that, never heard either of a player asking for another to be taken off, sad as the lad obviously has potential, if we had finances he's 1 I'd keep and farm out for a full year to get him fully match fit and used to pro rugby again. |

I suspect his fitness is the issue. at Super League level you get shown up in defence of you’re not fit enough and that appeared to be the problem at Wakefield. Encouraging at Catalans and I think one other game (forget which one) but he wasn’t trusted with many minutes in any of his games.
He was playing amateur rugby last year though so it’s not surprising that he has struggled this year. I hope we give him another full off season and see if he can kick on next year. But the coaches and conditioners will know what they think they can get out of him and how far they can take him
