Think we all saw it coming...
The guy has been an absolute credit to this club and in a good few years, I'll be proud to reflect back and say I saw him at Salford. Obviously sad to see him go but it's a short career, so pay wise it makes complete sense for him and the lad obviously wants to challenge for trophies.
All the best Jacko. Thanks for the memories, just don't do the biz when you play us!!

Would we take Sammut plus £250k now for Jackson?  I’d take just the 250k right now.

If Jackson left now, we would be relegated for sure.

I think Catalan at home is huge, it will show where the rest of our season is going if we lose that then I fear that some of these players have already mentally called it quits for us as they know their careers are safe no matter what.
Squeaky bum time for the next few weeks, Catalan and Huddersfield at home and London away are must win if we're to secure our place in SL next year

Fred Done offering 40/1 against Salford finishing bottom. If you are concerned have £25 to give £1,025 back. Bookies arent daft. I reiterate we should look for a 6 figure deal now with Wigan plus a player (Sammut/Leului) coming the other way. We need the money to survive until the end of the season & offer terms for next season.

I was ok with him leaving until i read what kris Radlinski said on sky sports "This a hugely significant signing. In Jackson Hastings, we have secured the services of one of the most sought-after talents in the game, having fought off interest from around Super League and in the NRL". So Hastings wasnt waiting for a contract back at home then really.

So Hastings wasnt waiting for a contract back at home then really. I have relatives in Oz. They told me that no club would touch him as he is regarded as a troublemaker. A lot of lies but mud sticks. He has had his probation at Salford, no trouble and a absolute credit to the team and club. Wigan next a lot higher profile(hate to say it buts it’s true) to show his talents and maybe win something(again horrible to think of) and then get a contract in Oz. It’s a stepping stone for him and good luck to him. We would certainly be in the championship if it was not for him.

Heard something interesting from a Wigan fan today, now that is rarer than rocking horse$hit. He told me they only announced the JH signing after Lam agreed a contract. They were looking at Trent Barret but due to the history JH and him have they knew he would not move there. Lam signs JH agrees to move and big nose leaves for Canberra all clicks into place.
