According to Gary Carter on Twitter, Ian Watson is going to be named an assistant coach for Great Britain
Really well deserved. I hope he can learn and bring things back to Salford and maybe tap up a player or two 😂

Apparently he was interviewed for the job by.........Kevin Sinfield...... so I wonder who could be the next Leeds coach.

Didn't take long. 🙄 So you think it wouldn’t, couldn’t or shouldn’t happen, Leeds want a British coach, the two brightest at the moment Watto and Ward of London, me personally think of the two it would be Ward, but I seriously don’t trust any of the so called ‘Big clubs’. Leeds Have the money and the fan base to do what they want also they have the biggest influence at the Rugby League. We are an also club that matters not to anybody but us.

I doubt Watson is a candidate for the position at Leeds, but if he does go there and London go down I'd go hell for leather for Ward, as good as Watson as polishing turds and let's be honest performing miracles this year. But I'd rather keep the status quo.

Yeah let’s focus on a potential as yet not materialised (or any evidence of) negative rather than celebrating the fact that our coach, who is a Salford lad, is good enough and appreciated enough to become one of the GB Assistant coaches. It’s a tremendous and well deserved opportunity for Watto and raises our profile
Don’t know why I bother posting good news

Fully deserved. We might see some players deserving their places being picked now. Could we even see a Salford player in a England shirt, now that would be special.

Well done Watto, glad he's finally getting some recognition for all his hard work and effort.
Could well see a Salford player getting called up which would be great. Isn't Hastings somehow eligible?
