I do wonder whether there is a coaching/fitness issue at the club because yet again after a decent start the season is slipping away as has happened in past seasons. It has to be a concern as has the fact we have a terrible home record this season-any thoughts?
I also have to say we look less than secure from relegation.

My thoughts are that heads are turned at a crucial part of the season...full stop.
oh and yep we are in a relegation dog fight if we lose.

Think we're missing a leader on the field, a Dobson. Flanagan's the man.....at prop.

I agree with your assessment that we are missing a leader on the field but if Flash can’t last 10 mins at loose he won’t be able to last 5 at prop. The priority needs to be to get him fully fit if that is even possible.

Maybe the small size of our squad is catching up with us? Players possibly playing at not 100% mainly because there's no one to replace them with.
I do think this suggestion of players not playing now their heads have been turned is a bit of a myth though. The slow starts in games are nothing new, going back to games such as Cas/Wakey/HKR away this year and even last season as well.

Didn't Flanagan play at London when we were short?

Yes but didn’t last long. Murray and a couple of other forwards had to play over an hour as we were light in the pack anyway.

I take on board the answers/excuses for this season however they haven't always been the reasons for the same thing happening on previous seasons and its more than 1 season. I know a couple of seasons ago Watson said he deliberately set off at high tempo to secure our SL status because we had a small squad. However surely we shouldn't be pursuing that theory every season. Also none of this answers the fact we have a very poor home record this season

Let's get real. We're doing far better this year than anybody expected. 3rd best points diff in the league. We've failed by a few points on more than 6 occasions. I think we just need a leader, Dobson type, to steady the ship. After what the Clubs been through I see it as real progress. So enjoy it.

Well said, we've punched above this year not had any real drubbings aside from a lapse at the end of Leeds at home first time around either. I am making the most of it because next season (at the moment) is not looking promising

Yes, I think at the start of the season, we would all have happily settled for where we are now at this stage of the season. All the pundits were putting the relegation fight to be between us and London. We just know that it could and should have been so much better.
