They seem to be suffering an identity crisis if they are now promoting Heywood Rd as being in Manchester, unless they are on the move again stadium wise.
Fair play to everyone who has kept the club going though for years after leaving M27. I'm not sure that we would have it in is to do something similar.

Kinell Swinton you had supporters boycotting you when you moved out of Swinton all those years ago. Changing names would see your support dwindling further, or would it ?

If they got rid of the Swinton name altogether then I would fully expect so yes, I know Swinton lads and I know they wouldn't be going if they changed name to Manchester. Don't see the obsession with changing name to the sister city, the people of Manchester aren't interested! Anyway Swinton is in Salford so technically shouldn't they be changing their name to Salford to attract more fans?

The whole point is they would rather adopt the name Manchester rather than mention the S word in any description.
