Need a leader, like Dobson, none on the field, except Lussick
Inu andPauli need to sort their messing about giving away penalties and field position

Absolutely abysmal. Only McCarthy came out of that beyond criticism- he was excellent. Even Watson got it wrong- why have Bibby on the bench over Murray with Mossop not at full speed. Shocking. Leeds better get beat or this will be a right waste of money! Can't disagree with this. Mccarthy and Welham stood out for me. Mossop and Griffin were penalty machines. Olpherts brain fart again. We love making it hard for ourselves.

We're just not as good as we think we are really. Again people were expecting a comfortable win, this time because we nearly beat Saints in our last outing??
A 24-22 win for us and and 22-20 win for them in the two league meetings suggests that there's not much between the two sides.

I don't think this team realise how good they can be. That was an utterly sh1te performance yet we list by 2 points. Everything that could have gone wrong did.... stupid mistakes (bombed at least 2 tries), stupid penalties and a lot of players underperformed yet we still only lost by 2 points. Don't get me wrong, I'm devastated and I know we're better than that. Thaler gave them a couple of soft pens (one against Griffin was a joke) and we shot ourselves in the foot a number of times (Dudson high shot near the end when we'd fought back). KR are sh1te, they really are, and we win that game 9 times out of 10 without the silly stuff. Problem is we seem to get punished for every mistake we make. Don't forget the Inu conversion that hit the post as well... couple of inches to the right and we get at least a draw. Extremely fine margins in this game and dumb plays cost us again.

I will apologise I thought we would win.Talk about playing for the shirt some of them weren't even playing for themselves.I thought Lui was already playing for them.Olipherts is is a mistake waiting to happen. But let's take on board what was said on commentary.Hastings and Lui don't take the line enough they certainly said JJ did not run hard enough we give to many cheep pentities away and our game management was none existant. If we were trying to entice lapsed fans back today did not help. You have to feel for Watson this lot are putting him on the dole.

I think that’s really harsh. We were off the pace in the first half, and comfortably the better side in the second. Olpherts needs to be dropped. I’ve supported him but it’s a crucial mistake almost every game and, when you’re winning or losing by 2 points, you can’t afford these constant mistakes. Mossop wasn’t fully fit. Not sure whether it showed up on tv,but he had some sort of fitness test just before the game, and it looked like he failed it ! Dodson has now given crucial penalties away in the last couple of minutes in both the last 2 games. The criticism of the half backs is harsh. As regards Griffin being a penalty machine,he’s playing 80 tough minutes every week so he’s ok by me,but the dissent penalties were a problem today. As someone said, but for the Olpherts cock up,or the thickness of a post we’d have won. Why didn’t Sio go under the posts 😂😂

Just insane to have an unused sub, makes no sense at all. PP gets binned (rightly) but Tomkins with 2 high shots on Jacko gets nowt but a telling off. And Tomkins had a right go at the ref, but not penalised. We get penalised for dissent and they kick the winning goal.

I’m not normally a ranter and raver but that really got me going - if Inu’s head doesn’t slip out there (no thanks to Tomkins) then he’s in serious trouble. That was the most dangerous one for me and we didn’t even get a pen. We’d have lost anyway - and deservedly so after that first half - but still, all we ask for is consistency from refs and protection for the players.

I'd be surprised if Olpherts isn't benched in favour of Bibby, does anyone know if Wood is finished?
I was happy to see PP get his try, brought back happy memories of BMM.

What we've done today in all likelihood is dragged ourselves into a struggle to not be in the bottom 4.
You'd guess that Leeds have now got the whip hand over London and it is between Leeds, US and KR for the rest of the last 4.
What's so frustrating is that 3 results could (and many would argue should) have gone our way and we'd now be fighting for a top 4/5 spot. When you're in our perilous state things like that and the capitulation in the CC can mean the difference between surviving and going under.
Bums on seats won't flood to see a basement dwelling team with no cup hopes.
Sadly I'd guess at some point it also makes the decision of many players to stay or go easier, Jacko chief amongst them.

Despite today we are still only 2 points off the play offs compared to 6 points clear of the relegation spot.

Right. I was so gutted yesterday. Felt like a lost opportunity and a really poor performance. I have made myself pretty unpopular st times this season defending referees but I was ranting a bit at the game about Thalers performance too.
But I watched the game back last night and I’ve slept on it and it doesn’t feels as bad as it did. But still far from great. Some positives:
Even in a such a poor performance we outscored the opposition 4 tries to 3. Inu was close with his 2 missed kicks from the touchline. Get them we win.
Tyrone McCarthy was superb. He lifted our energy levels when he came on and I particularly liked the way he dived in to protect Hastings when Tomkins was giving him verbals after dumping him on his head
We responded well to adversity - after Pauli was sin binned and after they tried to bully Hastings in the 2nd half we finally played with aggression
Griffin is far from the worst culprit with penalties. He’s coming in for some harsh criticism every week. I think he gave away 2 penalties yesterday. One of those was for challenging a decision that was harsh. JJ did the same. Lussick and mossop gave away at least 2 each
Not sure what the criticism of Mossop is about. He didn’t have his best game but he tackled a lot and ran the ball as much as usual. Like all the team he was low on energy and aggression in the first half but no more or less than anyone else in my view. He did have some kind of fitness test but he played through the pain
Our points difference is still comfortably 3rd best in the league. With the games we have to play at home against the teams around us that puts in a strong position to make the top 5 if we can find a way of winning some of those games
BUT
We can’t keep losing these close games. Iain (formerly of a similar parish) tweeted that we’ve lost 7 out of 8 games where the difference is 12 or less and win 6 out of 8 of the others.
You could sense Watson’s frustration and I don’t blame him. The players are repeatedly letting him down.
That said I don’t understand why he had Bibby on the bench. I knew he wouldn’t get on the field. I think everyone knew that after other times he’s done similar things. I can’t work out his thinking about it at times
We seem to be the worst team in the league at defending grubber kicks into the in goal. No stats to back that up but we need to sort it out.
The team have put a lot of pressure on themselves. Can’t afford many more slip ups and make the 5
I still don’t know how Tomkins wasn’t sin binned

Fair comment RUTB
Think we lack a leader on the pitch to control things when they're tight and to get things going when they're slack. And we don't talk to refs. Tomkins and McGuire never stopped and it just makes the refs think.
But we're up there.
