That would kill our club off for sure, all those big ideas of the Wilkinson era have all gone up in smoke, we are going the way of Swinton. I wouldn’t go watching them at Moor Lane. Why not?

And people think Barton is tricky to get to.
For me a minimum of 3 buses I'd guess.
Wasn't there talk around the end of last year of a businessman wanting to buy the club and ground then have both rugby and football played there?

Our best hope with BWFC currently in strife is Sale RU making an offer for the Macron and then groundsharing with Bolton, with Salford FC moving to into Barton making the AJ Bell home to both Salford clubs.
Our 'high profile' cup game at the weekend attracted a crowd of 1842 so it obviously wasn't that high profile in the minds of our fanbase.

I think the Salford FC game at Wembley needs to be factored in, but even then I doubt we'd have reached 2500

To be fair I've never seen so few KR fans travel.

I am really pleased the Ammies have made it to the football league proper. Helps with the profile of the city and the RL club will be able to feed on that I see the crowd at Wembley was 8049. I know a direct comparison isn’t really possible but I like to think that if we got to Wembley that we’d be able to take at least that many on our own

I know a direct comparison isn’t really possible but I like to think that if we got to Wembley that we’d be able to take at least that many on our own It’s the lowest ever crowd for a National League final at Wembley by some margin. I read that there were 2,700 from Salford City, less than 1000 from Fylde and the rest were neutrals. Pretty poor support in my opinion from both teams although Fylde are also at Wembley this weekend for FA trophy final. I also agree that we would take more than 8,000 for a challenge cup final. Re Saturday I have to confess I didn’t go. I’m a season ticket holder and i didn’t find the ticket prices particularly attractive, notwithstanding the £5 discount. Huddersfield and Wakefield reduced tickets to a tenner for their respective games. It’s a difficult one as I completely understand the club are in a challenging financial position and need all the money they can get. I decided to save my money for Saints and Anfield. Now the domestic football season is over - why don’t the club try something radical for one of the games? £10 adult and kids free. Or bring a friend for a tenner. Try and get the floating / casual fan back. I don’t recall there being such a similar initiative for a league game since the Koukash era. What have we got to lose?

Would we have doubled our crowd charging £10 though? 3300 at Wakey and 3500 at Hudds (1500 from Saints) who both charged £10. Our gate receipts will be quite similar to those two games despite the lower crowd.
It does seem like a no brainer to do some sort of deal for football fans in the off season though.

The issue we have is the original deal with peel we get nothing from beer etc we get 50/50 on hospitality and for the cup games at home it costs 10000 pounds to stage that's the deal! We just cnt produce any money if you think the money from beer etc every game how that would help us I feel we need to go to peel/salford council and say we wnt have much left if this carries on!

I think we have to remember that we contributed zero to the building of the stadium, and also had a 3 year break from paying any rent under Marwan which was negotiated as part of his takeover deal.
I've no idea what we pay now, but it was described as 'favourable' by Rosler at one of the fans meetings.
It's frustrating to see us open the east stand for about 200 away fans as presumably this costs us extra money when the could easily have gone in the far corner of the West stand.

In the past fans have been given entry for free and even that did not work. Let’s face it Salford people will not pay to go to RL or football in their own City. Stockport and others get bigger crowds than Salford City. The one place they will go is OT to see Utd. No other RL club has the alternatives that Salford have to face. Even in the 60s crowds were tops 7k We have a hardcore support of around 3.5 K and that’s it. How we increase that I don’t know

What worries me if those players have signed for other clubs or are in the midst of this, are we going to get similar performances to Saturday with their minds elsewhere?
This season could go down quicker than Craig Makin, roll on Friday anyway a good sing song for 80 minutes and anything else is a bonus! Annoying it's on Sky as it will see an effect on numbers we take.

We need as many supporters who have the time to spare to help the club at the fan forum event on Thursday 16th at 6.30pm in the museum.
