Just been trawling though a few portals and forums and when I noticed something it reminded me why I post here and no where else.
Some one called Kiyan, I think, had posted about the hybrid game on Total RL. Without getting one reply it had been moved, I assume to what they call the cross-code forum. Now that strikes as missing the point, of forums and why I quoted the general discussion statement from this one, you can talk about anything here. I get the feeling that's true on here, but obviously some people in our sport don't agree. And I hope, at least here, it continues that way.

You're right Russ. On here anyone is allowed to be wrong This place reminds of old former glories where the art of social discourse was the norm not a rarity as it was latterly.

Ditched the Turkey completely and I like it on here, although it is sometimes a bit too polite I think people are just a lot more respectful. There's been a few heated discussions, but nothing worthy of moderation. It's good to have a heated discussion as long as valid arguments and counter-arguments are made. The ST suffered for a long time because certain cretins were allowed to hijack every thread, and were simply unable to see any other view than their own. That in itself isn't a problem, but it came with abuse, which is a problem. Most of the decent folk from the ST are here now anyway, and if the loonies from there are on here they've been very good. Which is the point.

Which is the point. Yes disagreeing and putting it strongly isn't the same as being abusive. It does tend to come as you say Carnster with hijacking of threads as a combination. Sadly that all too often means the negative and miserable often get a disproportionate posting level and can set the tone. When you add that to the kind of moderation censorship about what can be included in general discussion and what is not allowed it's not a good mix. And like the discussion on yawn the other day it should never be about having a go at a TGG and SRD fan just cos they're strange enough to like like kick and clap.

Aye, the restraint shown by us normal people there was beyond admirable.
