Bloody hell, will everyone lighten up. Next season is next year. Will we start talking about the following season straightaway? Enjoy these moments. I’ve no idea whether full time League will survive,no idea whether Salford will survive. We have a competitive squad and a committed coaching staff. Take a chill pill and remember when we beat a strong Leeds team that wereshort at half back

People are making comments to an article by our coach.Surely nothing wrong with that.As for a strong Leeds side I have to take issue with that. Go and ask a two eyed Leeds supporter how strong Leeds are and that is not taking anything away from us you can only beat what is in front of you.In the record books it only gives the score.

I hope most Leeds fans have two eyes or they would be very unfortunate. Two points more to safety or top five that’s what it means. Last time we played them they put 40 past us. Improvement that’s what that is and I could not care less what players were missing. They still had a marquee player on wages which would probably pay for about 3 or more of our players. 2 points off top three CL cup next week what’s there to be glum about ?

Not glum at all had a great night last night and having a good today.I thought it was Watto being a bit glum in the article I can understand that.

Yes we understand but it's not all about you!
Living in Leeds ... isn't that a contradiction?
Great win and I'm still enjoying that but Watto says half the team are out the door!
No he didn’t- he says he’d like to keep everyone but it will be difficult. Nobody is ‘out of the door’ until they have signed elsewhere. We are all fully aware of the financial situation and I’m not sure we need reminding of it constantly- especially when we should be enjoying a good win. One minute Russ you are criticising people on here for being negative and the next you are criticising me for doing the same - perhaps you just enjoy ruffling people’s feathers? First of all it's about what was reported and clearly you're unhappy with me mentioning it.
Watson did say top clubs can cherry pick which means he's concerned or worried about losing them, and there's a few of them.
None of this will change whether I mention it or not.
Now the forum says you can talk about anything on here and if that;s not true that's fine if it's not the issue will still be there.
Simple answer is don't read the posts or threads about finances.
I stopped watching the news years ago and it helped not knowing what was going on. The difficulty with Salford is I want to read articles about them and this came up.
if anyone's feathers are ruffled by this knowledge I can't do much to help that and I ask about it on here because there seems to be a few posters who just might have a bit more insight or knowledge of the club than I do, and they just might say it's rubbish but they'll certainly give a bit more perspective on it all.

Russ I have no issue with opinions- my issue was with the language you were using that seemed to be in an attempt to provoke a reaction (‘writing on the wall’ for example). If that wasn’t your intention then I apologise and lets move on.

I think I'll avoid posting threads from now on.

The fact is that we are at a crossroads in our fortunes again. We have a talented squad with an incredible team spirit but our finances dictate that we are likely to lose our best players next season. In short, we need to improve our financial position immediately and the club/fanbase are seeking aditional ways to do that. There are number of ways we can do this, some can help financially and others can help by offering time to help e.g. Calling up the 4k lapsed fans who have bought a match ticket or season ticket over the last 4 years. There are other ways too which we can explore at the next fan forum that will hopefully be held at the AJB a week on Thursday. If you can help in any way please step forward and make yourself known so we can mobilise support.

This Saturdays game won't help, Salford football have qualified to play at Wembley so quite a few will head down there for a day out.
For me the club should have looked to play the game Friday night or Sunday, at the very least late Saturday with a big screen rigged up in the the marquee, a 2pm KO is crazy for me.
Marketing needs to be on point this week, special offers agogô.

Bloody hell... I've been off here a few days (focusing on Salford Wendyball team MR!😮) and the whole world has imploded!
Christ alive, after a weekend of crazy highs this forum has soon brought me right back down to earth!
FWIW, I'm all for boycotting any refreshments on game day and putting that money into the club. I know no-one else will but if the SMC are gonna fleece us blind as a club I'd rather £10-£15 worth of my hard earned bypassed their pockets and went into the club coffers.
On a positive note, the old fella (sorry if you read this mate) who was at Old Trafford the other week giving a rallying cry to get fans back over to come and support Salford RL was at Salford City yesterday doing the same. I went over and shook his hand as the guy obviously lives and breathes the club. What an absolute legend.👏👏👏

I know it is difficult with City and United MR but we can't be being dictated to by Salford City if that's the case we might as well start taking Folly into the equation. Although I think Saturday night say at 6 30 would have been better. Ps Why could we not play on Friday night what is the reason.

Erm how are Salford RLFC being dictated to by Salford City dixon13?🤔 Salford City have made the National League Play-off Final and just happen to playinh on a date decided by the FA. As much as I love Salford RLFC I'm also a ST holder (and ex-player) of Salford City so I'll be sadly missing the HKR cup game to be at Wembley for the biggest game in the club's history. I think there'll be many like me who'll be missing HKR due to split loyalties. However, Salford City have no control over the matter so suggest you read a little more closely next time before starting one of your legendary (ill-informed) rants!🤦♂️😁

Ee, and I thought the game was getting soft. The Karalius brothers tackled less than some of the comments on here.

There are people like me who also watch Salford city as it rarely clashes with our fixtures. Salford city are on the brink of making history as no team have ever been promoted to the national league and the football league in consecutive seasons. Our crowd against HKR will be slightly down due to football but we should embrace the prospect of our city having a team in the football league.
