Fantastic team effort, I would like to give George Griffin a special mention thought he had a great game. Leeds only looked dangerous after Dwyer came on.

Inu has been brilliant since he came in. Totally agree but his kick offs have put us in trouble in the last 2 home games. Easily fixed. His goal kicking has been exemplary Agreed. But as you say that's easily fixed. I think if you look at who isn't playing we have a lot of optimism going on right now. This is the best super league team we have had I reckon and young Ian is going to be a coach in demand. But he's Salford through and through so hopefully we get to keep hold of him. If you put Shaun Wane into this club when he was appointed he would not have done a better job.

Never rated Wane, he just had a gaggle of world class players who many lower quality players could have cobbled great teams out of. A true test of a great coach is what they can make of what they've got rather than from a squad full of superstars, a Bennett or Bellemy would struggle with a a bottom 6 SL team.

Thought Lui had his best game of the season. Either putting himself in the shop window or happy that his future is sorted ? Watching the post game celebration in the changing room it’s hard to imagine anyone wanting to leave.

Superb performance tonight. Absolutely dominated them in the pack for the whole game. We made it nervier than it should have been with poor game management. Before their first try Lui should have dribbled that kick to the in goal or drilled it into touch so we could reset rather than putting yet another bomb with 3 mins til half time. That followed by Olpherts drop gave them a sniff.
I thought we did brilliantly for the first 25 of the second half, really bossed them and defended their one tactic (quick play the ball, run at ruck) very well. And we upped our game management. Until we let them back into it with the poor kick off but we got back on top to see the game out.
All our forwards were great. Bibby and Olpherts won’t make it an easy decision for Watson about who to drop when Sio is fit. Bibby was superb I thought. 80 minutes for Lussick and Griffin again. Hastings is just a class above everyone else on the field and Lui getting back to his best
Leeds were pretty abject but they showed they can still be a threat around the ruck. They play the ball so quickly and work the markers and middle defenders really hard. If the middle defenders drop their intensity then they will tear you apart like they did last time. This time we defended the ruck so much better but Leeds still played the ball twice as quick as us for the while game despite our pack being so dominant. Once the ball is away from the ruck though they’ve got nothing. No proper organising half leaving their decent three quarters and back row forwards looking average. They rely too much on Hurrel (so glad he wasn’t playing, he’s been class). They also rely on getting speed by not playing the ball properly which the refs need to get a grip of
A final comment on the ref. Don’t normally grumble about them but if that is how the new rules are interpreted we’re gonna have some pretty dull games. Did he give any penalties for holding or interference? Felt like he’d been told to give nothing at all at the ruck or was nervous about which way the penalty should go. Really slowed the game down. Same in the televised game last night.
But that’s all by the by. It feels fantastic to beat Leeds. First time we’ve done it in consecutive seasons since the 70s. Watson first coach to have 3 wins over them since 1836 or something!! Told my 13 year old son on way out that he’s seen us best Leeds as many times as I have!! Lets savour it

Looks like Leeds have sacked Furner. I think it was only a matter of time, they have been garbage (apart from the first game against us).
I don't think this is the first time that a coach has been sacked after we've beat them - Frank Endacott springs to mind?

A good season and we could take out half a dozen coaches.

One of my neighbours is a Leeds fan and he’s clear that this isn’t Furners problem. He has an unbalanced squad due to the manner of investment. Shades of OT. A great shame 😂😂😂

Watson a 25/1 long-shot for the job so one less thing to worry about
