I'm surprised he hasn't been farmed out again as still looked a little ring rusty when I've seen him play.
I'm through with Big Ben as he just doesn't have the agression to match his size, Lawton for me offers all BB does but you'd think at a much reduced cost.

I think he was lined up to play against Rochdale but as he didn’t feature, hasn’t been seen since and hasn’t been farmed out on loan I assumed he had a knock.
Ben’s defence is generally sound which will put him above in the pecking order and although I agree he hasn’t been great recently I thought he looked good the first 6 or so rounds.

I understand that people want such a massive bloke to throw his weight around more. His style is uncomplicated he takes the ball up hard and tackles anything close to him. Good packs have to have players like him and I suspect his team mates and coach appreciate his uncomplicated style Whether he is worth his unknown salary and costs is another discussion. I believe he always gives of his best and most Salford fans want nothing more than that. His worth is for Watson and Blease to decide as to whether we can get better for the money. |
