Wire fans aint happy with Big Ben's stats recently 13 Metres against London 25 Metres against Saints 24 Metres against us
Was we right to get rid of him? Even though he started the 2017 season off brilliantly he seemed to fade in the back end of the season. You will see him have a good game now and then for wire but doesn't look like a player when he was at Salford.
We FINALLY manage to beat a team in the top 3. Hope this is a turning point of the season now. Looking at the table will 18 points be enough to stay up?

I think our two games against London are crucial. Lose them both and we are right in the mix. Win both and we are well clear of them. Win one and we will need a few more wins. The other way of looking at it, is how many points do we need for the top five. I’m thinking 28.

The reality is that we need to think how many more games London will win in the season, they are on 3 already and can't honestly see them getting into double figures.
So we'd need to conservatively win another 5, 2xLondon would be crucial and then 3 more from the rest.
My worry would be the earlier we guarantee safety I can see the odd player or 2 being released early ahead of the end of the season, the harsh financial realities of where we are currently.

MR, do you know something we don’t about the finances? I know we had a reshuffle last year but as I understood it we were in a much more stable position now. We’ve just signed Inu who can’t be on peanuts.
The only reason I can see for shipping out a couple of players would be to find money for Hastings contract extension........

I'm amazed at the negativity here. I understand we are Salford fans so are always looking over our shoulders but we've just absolutely battered wire who are in second place at their own place. Why would we be looking down right now?

The table is pretty bunched up, but look at it this way, some of those teams below us will get on a run and win some games, but logically they can't all do that. One out of Wigan/Leeds/Hudds/London will lose most of their games. The only way that wouldn't happen is if form completely reversed for every side from here. My guess is that London won't win many more. They've done great on a small and cheap squad, and emotion has won them a few, but it gets tougher as the season goes on. Couple more wins in the next few rounds, and we should be looking up, not down.

Speaking as one of those who is positive about everything Salford except for their chances of winning I'd like to point out that it's called SRD syndrome and people should be more sympathetic and understanding!

Can't recall but did Inu play against Wigan a few weeks ago?
If not sure he'll make a bit of difference to the defence but sadly not in the speed which in reality is what you need against Wigan.

Pretty sure it was chamberlains first game back from injury and he played in right centre with Olpherts on the wing. Welham was dropped after his Cas catastrophe Bibby and Sio on the other side I think Will be good to have Sio and Chamberlain fit again - choosing four in best form from Sio, Sau, Inu, Bibby, Chamberlain, Olpherts, Johnson feels like decent strength in depth
