This Rob Lui topic seems to have morphed into a player / contract discussion. Anyway 2 rumours I've heard; 1) as soon as we are safe ( 3 or 4 more wins I'm guessing) the top 4 earners will be offloaded. 2) the club can't renegotiate or offer new deals will until they are safe. both make sense and have merit, it's up to you to choose which one to believe. in the meantime, on to Wakey on Sunday COYR! So JH, RL, Sau and at a guess Mossop/lussick all to be offloaded?
I'd go as far as to say that if that happens safety will be attained but there will be empty stands and a hugely reduced crowd for 2020.
it's just a rumour, don't take it as gospel, we're just gonna have to wait and see what happens after a few more wins. |

Yes,heard that about offloading. I don’t believe it,but we’ll see. Relegation voids contracts,doesn’t it,so no reason why survival needs to be certain before players sign new contracts. If we’re in such dire financial straits why sign Inu ? Theres a disconnect here. |

Can see the 2nd rumour being true, although it will be the same for most of the lower end clubs I presume. Although I'm sure they will still be negotiating deals behind the scenes.
The first rumour sort of alludes to what I was getting at in my earlier post. I don't think we'll be keeping our top earners unless for example we get to Wembley and bank the cash from the cup run, or improved performances see an extra 1k fans through the gates. Would be surprised if it happened during the season though if we're going well on the pitch.
