Anyone know.....
A) What's going on with Josh Wood? I'm sure a month or so ago he was due back any minute but seems to have gone pretty quiet so assuming he's had some sort of setback? We could do with him back ASAP as he's our best cover at 6,7 & 9.
B) What's the plan with young Connor? Assume he's still playing for the Foundation team but have the club got any loan moves at a Championship 1 team lined up? Appreciate the kid is still really young so maybe they've decided to not expose him to too much adult rugby yet and let him keep developing with the Foundation lads.
Anyone on here able to shed any light?

You do wonder where Wood will fit into the make up the game day 17 now that Lussick seems to be going the NRL route of being an 80 minute hooker. Seems obvious that Turget/JJ are cover for the backs and Burke you'd think in an emergency would cover #9.
If we had an easier Easter schedule you'd think that players would be rested but Warrington & Wigan are both going to hard games (despite Wigans woes).
As for the young kid he seriously needs to beef up for the lower leagues as they'll target him more than a SL team would, lots of near the end of their shelf life players will want to stick it on an up and coming talent. He also seems to 4th choice hooker behind Lussick, Tomkins and Wood. And I have been told that Brining is only back at York for a season to prove his fitness before he comes back to the club.
That brings up a question, would you get Tomkins shopped around to free up some cash for fillers in positions we are light?

I heard a rumour at the last home match and I STRESS it is only a rumour Josh Woods May not be coming back, something akin to the Brinning situation.

What I heard was it was first thought to be ligament damage to the shoulder. Then they said it wasn’t that bad as it was a trapped nerve (or something like that so don’t quote me). As he’s still out it could be a more serious nerve issue (similar to Brinning) but I hope not.

I've been informed that Josh W very close to re-appearing in the squad list. Possibly this weekend but more likely next.
