I hesitated before putting this forward because yesterday was hard on us all and the players.
But Burgess looking for an NRL contract and being in the shop window seems a very slim prospect in my opinion and based on "that" game.
Am I doing him an injustice? Was it the team performance and result colouring my views?

Thought he did ok, not great but solid. I agree though what I've seen so far he is more suited to sl than nrl. Having said that, I think he looks better than mike Cooper did when he was at wire so who knows
As someone else has said, he may be prepared to take step down a level to stay in Oz with has family, who can blame him

I don't think Luke will get a gig in Oz. Which means that he'll have to drop down to SL or second tier Australian game. He's a solid player who gives us size and power in defense, something we desperately were in need of. he's not going to offer anyone anything dynamic, just good old hard work, which isn't to be sniffed at. I don't think you can judge him too harshly after the whole team under performed yesterday.

Thought he was much better last week, than yesterday. It was a below average team performance at Leigh, we all know they can perform to a much higher standard than that. Realistically if we beat Rovers next Friday and the remaining three games against Championship opposition we should be able to avoid the Million £ game. It would be really unjust to see us have to go though that,after all the efforts on the field this year.
