Just watching the Widnes V Hull game on Sky (possible as Carney is mercifully not on) and they have just pointed out that Widnes are missing players because they had concussion injuries from the game with Catalan last weekend. I've never considered it before but surely if the RFL enforces (quite rightly I must add) a minimum time out for concussion then surely each and every team should be given the same amount of time between games to allow for them to get players back, for me another example of the whole thing not being run on a level playing field, in the same category of some games having video technology and some games not or the teams on Sky week in week out getting more appearance money. This is a good read and proves how corrupt the RLF is. www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/rugby-league-world-cup/rugby-league-faces-one-of-the-biggest-decisions-in-its-history-over-world-cup-20160810-gqppbj.html

A bit off topic but that game last night typified for me how pointless it is for the bottom 4 teams in the super 8s. Meaningless game not saying Widnes didn't put the effort in, but they have nothing to play for. Suppose you could argue Cats have an outside chance if everyone else loses.
