22-23 Drop Goal by Mr personality ,Sneyd Exciting in itself and for keeping the Pies down there!
It doesn't come up that often in the NRL either and probably leaves teams deflated, afterwards.

See the Leeds poachers have already been into Widnes taking two of their best Academy prospects . Will everybody will be happy when RL is a six team tournament.
In the NW Swinton, Rochdale, Oldham have really dropped down and now Leigh and Widnes going....we're just about surviving. So the bigger clubs just keep sitting in the wings and picking the fruits of others labours.
The RL response to the demise of RL in the NW,,,,,,,,,we'll build it up in France, Canada, Wales, USA E Europe . Of course then there's no resource for the RL to do a major NW Regional marketing exercise to help develop in the heartland, or even help develop a team in another ex- heartland Cumbria.
Or am I just a cynic. Be interesting to see what others think.

If RL Can't regain it's popularity in The Northwest as in Yesteryear then Here we are 10 months away from the first year of the a new decade Then we've got to realise the Cold and hard fact that it'll never regain it's popularity, all sports have enough difficulty these days getting the 5-10 years old interested in Football which has and will always be the Number 1 sport in the UK. RE: France I don't see why they shouldn't have another team in the Superleague, Let's not forget that They've played Rugby league for over 100 years They've suffered for playing it (Vichy fascist government banned it in WW11) And faced discrimination from Local RU Favouring councils over the years. I Though I'm not 100% Sure about teams in Canada & USA, Although the marketing is 100% better than anything in Superleague.

It seems to be resurging in popularity in France according to your argument tho with RL help. My issue is that it seems to have disappeared from the schools in the NW, yet in Newcastle, S of England it seems to be developing with lots of RL help.
What I cant understand is why the RL doesn't start a revival movement in the NW as it is trying to do in, say France ad the rest of the UK. Here it seems to be a dog fight and inevitably Wigan and Saints take all they can.
