Some shall we say Stevie Wonderesque reffing.
George Griffin isn't a suitable replacement for Moose.
And above all, COME ON SALFORD

It appears old Salford are back!
I think the best thing to do about today is to consign it to history and look forward to next week...

I'm sorry but that 10 minute stint in the first half where we kicked the ball out on the full twice simply isn't good enough for super league. As bad as child's was (and he was awful), you don't win games presenting the ball from the half way line. Thought we were awful defensively today thro the middle, so many missed tackles. Ah well top was good while it lasted on to next week.

The result is disappointing but not the end of the world - we were always going to have a few blow outs along the way. Agree with Carnster - forget about it and move on.
What does bother me though is the attendance- top of the league, 2 from 2, loads of positive social media, up against a well supported team, Sunday afternoon- and we just about break 4,000. It’s not good.

Yes Mr Childs was bad.But don't let us use that as an excuse we were clueless in defence and on attack.People will not pay good money to watch that.

I'll be honest.
Disappointed we let a rank average #7 like Myler run the show in the manner he did.
Turgut regardless of his binning is a class acquisition.
Increasingly Big Ben (nice guy as he is) looks all size and no action, doesn't break a tackle.
I worry that Leeds have sussed Evalds weakness with the low ball, hope I'm wrong and that it's not picked up by others.
Burke looks fit and lean but a shadow of the player we got last season.
Junior just runs his blood to water for the cause.
The sooner Wood is fit we'll have much better options.
All in all just a bit miffed we capitulated as we did, it was Salford circa 2015.
I'd have taken 2 out of the 1st 3 so all's good.

Myler was throwing forward passes all afternoon, Childs saw none, also Myler was moaning at him at every play the ball asking for a penalty. Rob Lui still a bit off par but I thought Turgut had a good game except for the sending off which in reality he shouldn’t have been. Leeds were faster and more powerful in the contact.

Ignoring this week Ben has looked better and more polished - not a barnstormer by any means but looking solid. Again not based on this week, but I thought Burke was looking better than last season- I was in the minority last season though as I couldn’t understand all the praise he was getting (his ave yards were the worst in the pack last year).

I agree about forward passes and Dwyer for Leeds offside at every ptb. Child's never gave one forward pass against Leeds, and touch judges, head nodders. The second ref idea has to happen.
Sadly the person who's not turned up yet is Flash, v poor each week.
Leeds make a break, centre, winger full back there; Lui makes a break I was nearer than our centres and I was in the stand. We drive and play too much one man rugby with nobody looking to support, week after week. Leeds expect to make breaks, we don't.
Still 2 from 3 and Walker, Chamberlain, Woods to come. Only 6 more wins needed for survival😤

Just at Warwick Services on my way back to Brighton, not enjoying the drive so far 😩... just to add... Leeds much quicker at the PTB and Myler and Lolohea were more in tune than Rob and Jacko ... who Mia sed all those tackles in the middle for their many breaks... still happy with 2 from 3 though

Was looking forward to watching him play but now I'm just concerned that if UKAD pay him a visit there might be another scandal.

For me we were second best this afternoon.
One question I'd like to ask is why do Leeds never get pinged for forward passes? The don't have half backs they have quarter backs instead! I counted at least ten Leeds forward passes in the game today. Not a one given. There were two in their first try that everyone else saw apart from Mr Childs and his merry flag wavers.
Anyway onto next week and hopefully an improvement against Hull KR.

Come on let’s not turn into people who blame refs for losses. We didn’t lose because of Childs today, we lost because of some poor errors, kicking, ptb speed and a bit of game management. To blame refs takes away accountability and the team need to stand up and take accountability for that performance and not let it happen next week.

Agree Kilop, the problem is that it was a very poor reffing performance after not a bad one last week. The sad thing is there were numerous forward passes, not one against Leeds given, and the Leeds hooker was offside at almost every play the ball. It totally frustrates.
Added to this the niggly unnecessary penalties he gives, makes it, in my view a poor performance,
Having said that Flanaghan, Lui weren't really at the races today and Tomkins and Griffin seem lost.
Probably the same team for the 3rd week got a bit complacent and got the kick it needed. Be interesting to see if Watto makes changes for the Hull kr game. I'll be happy if they win that tho.

Could only listen on the radio, but their first try had two forward passes in it. That got them on a roll. A penalty given for offside at the kick off. A very rare penalty for a regular occurrence. And a sin binning for hand bagging. It looks like we got the short straw yet again against Leeds. Don't mind the defeat. Leeds probably deserved the win. But it would be nice to be given a chance.
