Saw this and I think we might need to super glue him to the club.

There’s yet another one via the BBC R5 podcast... this time Jacko’s saying that the England team players need to market themselves more eg Lomax and Myler (he admitted he was brilliant yesterday) ... couldn’t agree more... so what’s the problem here... if they all used anti-social media as well as Jacko does, would our game get more positive publicity...?

The problem is that they either don’t have the personality for it or alternatively the money to pay a PR firm to market them. Out of those two, Lomax doesn’t exactly come across as having a scintillating personality. Also, not many clubs will hive players as much free reign as we do with Hastings. There are some decent blokes with a bit of charisma out there though and I agree they could learn a lot from Hastings.

Imagine the kick-off from fans of other clubs if he won it? There would be the constant "well he's a good player in a $hit team so of course he's going to stand out" whinging. Jacko was great on Saturday but thought Lui looked so much more like his usual self as well. On their day those 2 are unplayable.

Seems strange with this voting system that all the players are from one team. Hull got points for 3 players after the golden point. Assume if we'd lost by 2 points, kr would have had 3 people with points. Yet another RL oddity

Perhaps both coaches together to be fair rather than all these ex players on a jolly round the clubs. Or even 2 home and 2 away reporters.
But it is RL, so why should it be easy?

Albert Goldthorpe is different to Man of Steel The AG is league express journos votng for their award
Man of steel has a panel of ex players. V similar systems now but League Express has been using the 3 points for years. I think MoS do 3 players from each team. AG does 3 from each match
I don’t think coaches should do it as they have too much vested interest

Thanks Where are the MoS scores made available? I thought they were going on rugby-league.com but I can’t find them at the minute From memory they are supposed to be publishing the MOS votes until July or August and then they go private until announcement at end of the season I’ve realised both MoS and AG just award for the match rather than for each team

Yet another RL enterprise. Two awards for the same thing and the prestigious one MoS is carefully hidden away.
