According to the SL site not been banned, amazingly.
Scott Taylor received two punishments in the same match tho and Danny Brough warned for disputing a decision, now that is unusual ( why don't they save the panel time and let him only play 1 match in 3) Can't wait for the Brough v Jackson clash.

Think it shows reality. London player had a go at him on the ground, he got up had to push the guy away who wouldn't so tapped him and the guy went down like a Premier League, over paid princess.
Its RL and bits like this happen. Got his 10 min, which he deserved. The guy who started it also got a warning. Good reffing Child's, who I thought had a good game and not his usual long string of penalties for bits of stuff round the play the ball.
Be good when the 2nd ref comes in and the offside at the p t b is sorted.

I’m glad moose is available. We need a big game off him on Sunday.
I agree about Child reffing well last Sunday

I thought Child did well on Sunday but he definitely missed a high tackle by Hastings in the 1st half. Not that I'm complaining 😁

You lot obviously don't stand in the South Stand because all I heard for 80 minutes was Child getting abused, so not sure a lot of our fans agree with you.😁 I genuinely think Rugby League fans are some of the most blinkered in sport. Every pass is forward, every tackle high and every defensive line is offside at every PTB!
Great news about Mossop. Big loss of size in the pack if he's not there and I'm expecting him and Dudson to go well this weekend.

Big loss of size in the pack if he's not there and I'm expecting him and Dudson to go well this weekend. Always been a bit like that. I remember decades ago, a couple of regulars in the shed who stood at the same spot every week. Without fail, they would call every pass forward and every opposition scrum was a 'feed in!' Literally, every. Single. time. Week in. Week out. Also remember an old guy who heckled and spouted as much vitriol as possible every week, to both teams. One day someone obviously got fed-up with him and said something along the lines of 'Well what do expect on the fifth tackle?' The old guy looked blankly back. 'What do you mean?' he replies. The guy literally didn't realise that the six tackle rule was brought in in 1972 and was slagging everyone off because the game wasn't making sense. Some RL fans are priceless.

I was younger and probably more tolerant when I was standing in the shed but I don’t remember it being as bitter and vitriolic as the south stand is now. It could be vicious and would get a collective anger that carried some force but I don’t remember there being as many in the shed who would just shout individual abuse at the ref like they do now. I can’t stand it in the south stand and avoid it at all costs

I can’t stand it in the south stand and avoid it at all costs I started in The Shed in 89/90 season as an 11yo and tbh pretty much all the abuse I remember was dished out at opposition players!(as it should be😊). Refs have always taken stick but some just go way too far. One South Stand guy (just to the right of the sticks) stands with a large group of mates and as soon as he starts his rants his sheep-like mates all join in. It's embarassing. I almost moved on Sunday because of it making my ears bleed. Half the time it's directed at our players as well which is bang out of order. If someone's having a 'mare you need to try and get behind them. At the end of the day they're pulling on the shirt we all want to wear and we should back them. Calling them a "useless C U Next Tuesday" or similar really doesn't do any good.

You must stand near me then because that idiot screaming and shouting in the South Stand was just to the right of me. Proper gimp.

No longer having to tolerate the deranged outbursts of Salford fans - just one of the advantages of being deaf!
Re: Child - I generally don’t enjoy games when he’s in charge but he was bearable on Sunday. He still missed/guessed a couple of decisions but at least he wasn’t blowing up every two minutes.

There's a right numpty near our usual spot in the South Stand too. How he can somehow see every pass as forward, especially at the North end of the ground, is beyond me. I suppose it's easier to move away though when in the South Stand - being stuck in a seat near one is the worst.

Child did miss a couple at the weekend, but most refs will. I don’t really mind that, that’s life. My criticism of him in the past was that he blew the whistle far too much, whilst simaltaneously failing to get a grip on discipline. Sunday was a fast, flowing game and if that’s a consistent improvement from Child then credit where credit’s due to him.

Bet Mossop was gutted. He probably fancied a week off. Child had a good game.

There was one utterly bewildering moment on Sunday of Childs making.
Chase grounded the ball in first half over the try line only for it to be moved back for a PTB in field, for me could only be a try or penalty for a double movement.
Think Childs on Sunday was very tolerant as we as team either have the fastest line speed in the league or were perpetually off side, think like others 2 refs next season will stamp this out.
