A player I'd love to try and get back, never gave anything but 100%.

The issue with Krasniqi was in my opinion the fact that despite the lad having a heart the size of a microwave, the rest of his body wasn't/isnt large enough to compete in Super League.
After our brief flirtation with a few star signings who didnt quite come off during the Koukash era, we are a little too eager at times to forgive the shortcomings of so called "Grafters".
I agree that "hard working" is a great attribute to have, but we have had teams full of hard workers for the better part of half a century and as a result have won nowt and rarely looked like it.
Krasniqi is exactly that type for me, sort of top of the of the championship borderline bottom of Super League standard.
If we are going to improve as a team we need to aim a little higher in my opinion, if we keep signing the same kind of player, it stands to reason were going to get the same kind of results.

bigkeev I would have agreed with this last season, but I think the reduced number of interchanges this year means that there is a niche for players like Krasniqi as their smaller frame and weight means that they can probably put in a longer stint on the pitch before being totally knackered.

I take your point mate, I agree there might be a place for a slightly smaller more mobile "middle" since the changes, but for me they have to play above their weight and i'm not sure that is the case with Krasniqi. This migration to a smaller more mobile pack may be the way forward but in all honesty that doesnt appear to have been the tactic adopted by the bigger clubs as far as I can see. Pack size has remained reasonably static amongst the big 4 or 5 clubs, although I accept perhaps this cant be achieved over night I dont doubt the lad works hard, but he is rarely dominant in the collision and his ball handling skills arent good enough for him to play 13 for me. I think its telling that he has bounced around clubs at the bottom end of Super League and top of the championship. Its nothing against him personally, he is a willing lad, and works hard in defence, I just think there are better examples of the kind of player you are talking about were we looking to spend money in that area. If we keep doing the same things, nothings ever likely to change.
