You obviously know all about Liverpool Stanley or Huyton et al.
Let's get a SL team in Cumbria and get Rochdale Swinton Oldham Leigh Widnes back on track.
Liverpool v Leeds or Red Star Belgrade RL v Barcelona RL or Cumbria v Wigan...what could happen?
Get your own back yard right first.

Unfortunately nobody wants to fund Cumbria, Rochdale, Oldham, etc. If they did there us nothing stopping them. Good luck attracting big sponsors and more money thanks to the international metropolis of Rochdale compared to Liverpool, barecelona, Belgrade and New York Mind you whoever is behind the twitter account and early marketing of Liverpool RLFC seem determined to alienate half their potential fan base before they start

Wonder how many kids have heard of Liverpool RL Club?
Would be great if it happened but again we ignore where RL is played such as Cumbria. Sorry we've been thro lots if Welsh, Liverpool and other pie in the sky teams but we never back what we have. And now is it let's get rid of Salford or London so we can have Toronto or Toulouse? It's a joke.
Be good if NY come in and buy the Oz International team

I guess no kids given it doesn’t exist yet. But given there are kids in Salford that have never heard of Salford RLFC and they have existed for 100+ years I’m not sure what your point is. likewise in Oldham, Rochdale, Swinton, the Cumbrian towns about their local teams
I’m not sure what you mean by we’ve been ignoring the clubs. They exist, they have had the same chance as every other club to be successful but they haven’t been. The financial odds are stacked towards the biggest clubs these days but the fact that Huddersfield, us, wakey, cas, London have survived shows what all the smaller clubs could have done
It’s interesting that London are now used as an example of a team that is threatened by new teams. Until Toronto came along London we’re always claimed to be the club that was stealing Oldham, Rochdale, Cumbria, etc of their future

"international metropolis of Rochdale" hmm. Certainly how the council sees it (and the burghers of Heywood and Middleton do their best to fight).
