Now voting for the two substitute backs - I’ve chucked my ‘vote for who you’ve seen play’ philosophy as it would be a travesty if Risman and Lomas didn’t get in.

I've gone for Gus Risman, (the only back I've never seen, but my Dad says he was the best), and David Young.

I have gone for Gus Risman, who I did see play and Jimmy Lomas who I didn’t see play but I have read lots about him and he must be one of the best players that the club has ever had. PS I also saw Gus play for Workington Town when he was their player coach.

Although the wall is a great idea and part of a great legacy .... Risman on the subs bench? or to put it another way, RISMAN ON THE SUBS BENCH!

I’m a fan of Blakeley but more deserving than Jimmy Lomas? Ray Cashmere in the props as well?

The problem is one of the legend v not seen by anyone living and exposes the inadequacies of picking a top 13 even when it includes the subs!

And legends deserve better than a subs afterthought.

At the end of the day he gets his name on the wall just like any other in the list. We’ve discussed this before- it’s hard to vote for those you have never seen. I did vote for Risman in the subs vote though as I thought it would be a travesty if he didn’t get a mention. Lomas as well but he’s missed out all together.
