As we start on another season and all the expectation that brings what about the game in general,If you were in charge what would you do if anything .Why I raise this is because a while back their was a debate on the radio, with Garry Hetherington and two Rugby League reporters they were talking about the new League structure that was going to be voted on. Hetherington was against this,he said this new structure had come from certain owners who in his opinion were wrong, and they were only interested in their clubs he said the RFL should run the the sport in the interest of everyone. What Hetherington did say was when it was agreed unanimously that when the qualifiers came in it would be for a seven season period and that is what should of happened. They were even talking about no religation.I have my opinions of Garry Hetherington not all favourable but I think he thinks more about other clubs than a certain two. What do you think.

Even if TGG was as prominent as soccer or as well embedded in the establishment as yawn there would still be issues for the game. Gary Hetherington is e real passionate supporter of the game and I've met him a few times at different events like the York Nines. But that doesn't mean he makes more sense or has any more idea than anyone else. He does tend to favour the RFL which wouldn't endear him to many supporters especially as Leeds have tended to do well out of the way things were. All this talk of "all the game" is a bit of a red herring because certain parts of the game have done badly forever but SL has not made either the market progress or media interest that would take the game forward. And whatever else that has been on Gary's watch to some extent.
As for certain clubs taking things for themselves Wigan are living proof it works.
