Have you seen the report on BBC Sport? Absolute joke - I doubt they covered Barba’s signing in the same way. Headline is ‘Salford Sign banned prop Walker’ and underneath states that we’ve signed him despite him having two months of his ban left.

I agree regards the comparison with Barba but what they say is correct. Hope he has turned a corner in his life and looking forward to seeing him in a Salford shirt - adds a bit of heft to the pack.

It was the doubling down on it that really bothered me - the headline would be acceptable if the sub heading then covered the deal/player/club rather than the ban. I’d expect click bait like this from the tabloids but every other outlet (that hasn’t referenced the BBC article) has been much less inflammatory. It’s not like he killed someone. I don’t normally get wound up by such things but this rather rattled my cage!
