Fugg me I'm getting old, just realised this 20+ years ago.
Next we'll be talking about Rotters, Tommy Ducks and the brilliant 80's bar behind the Shakespeare near Primani.

Yeah Tommy Ducks was with the kex on the ceiling, remember being in there one weekend with mates making plans (as we did every weekend) to meet the following week then turning up and it had been flattened to make way for the Halle orchestra place, if rumours are true the owners didn't have planning permission so they had it levelled anyway.
Wasn't FFM's place down near where Slaters was on Dale Street?
I have visions o the younger bods on here wondering what the hell us old sods are talking about.

I honestly don't remember where Foo Foo's was, he was a big mate of me mam and his boy friend had payed for Cas. I was also reminded of the Ship Inn opposite Stowells. I feel like I'm in one of me mam's stories where she'd ask me if I remembered some old cinema I suspected had been knocked down before I was born, that or a bit part in East is East! I had a dog a the time that barked if you said Castleford!

Used to love the Keller, got into a fight in there once with the less successful Giggs Brother and gave him a bit of a slap for being an arris.
Seem to remember Foo Foo used to drive round in a big old Roller and his club was on Dale Street near where Slaters was.
Not one mention yet of grab a Granny central.

Foos Foos Boyfriend Payed For Cas ?? They kept that out of the Papers!!😏 In those days it paid not to advertise I think. And it was one time where being ignored by London was a godsend and how times have changed.

Oh how I'd love to be looking forward to a Swinton derby tomorrow.
Progress isn't always for the better.
