I doubt it seeing as its an integral part of the new home shirt. I’d like it changed next year though- it’s still far too ‘busy’

Home skirt?? Interesting 😊
That’s my understanding too - they decided to stick with the current one

It’s changed now so everyone will be confused why I’m taking about skirts 😂

I’d rather just keep it for a while now, regardless of wether I like it or not. Changing it on a regular basis will do more harm than good.

Think the RL put a stop to us changing it again, think we have to wait until the season after next.

I wondered at the time and still wonder what the thought process was when the new design was considered.
Bet when we change next time we'll not use the Charles & Wonder add agency.
It is hideous and laughable, overly complicated when a simple traditional devil would have been universally welcomed by all fans.

The Salford Crest would do me. The present badge is gibberish and the only good thing is it’s says Salford.

There was a Legal Agreement and Between the two teams around Mid 2000s. A Hockey club I think tried to call themself Red Devils but were threatened by the Utd legal department. After all Utd only became Known as the Red Devils from the beginning of the 60s I believe after Matt Busby visited the Willows on Several occasions and liked the Name and Badge.

Sir Matt wanted to "lose" the babes nickname as so many had died in that tragedy. The moniker Red Devils was suggested.
I also understood that, for a while at least, the two clubs had the devil facing opposite ways. This would make it different.

There are a lot of links with Salford and United. Just wish the club would use them more. 1% of United’s home support coming to watch Salford games would make a huge difference. Surely our marketing team can see the opportunities there.

There are references to United being called the Red Devils prior to the Munich Air Disaster, but we’re still talking 1950s rather than pre-war.
