Always gave his all and will be a big loss. However if he said he wanted to go mid season and we now have money for him then itβs a good piece of business. Be interesting to see who our forwards will be next year.

Good luck to him.
Hopefully the mighty Dud Gilson isn't going to be his replacement. Kyle Amor would be a good shout. Certainly need a couple of rock solid forwards. Interested to see who's coming in...

Tbh I think we are doing our recruitment much better this year. Get the key pivots done early this year and pick up the big pieces of meat as we go. Koppy has been ace but if we get a fee and can bring in a couple of props then good move, he will have been on a big wage so makes sense.

Gutted to see Koppy go as he's been superb for us and he's a genuinely decent guy as well. Even if he had some sort of falling out with Watto I think that club statement could have been worded better and Koppy deserved a bit more praise for his efforts in a Salford shirt. Along with the likes of Junior he's been the ultimate pro and I can't remember him having a bad game for us.
Hopefully this turns out to be a good move for both parties but only time will tell if we get in a suitable replacement. Without knowing what sort of wage he's been on at Salford, I'd hazard it isn't megabucks and we'll struggle to get someone as good for a similar salary and if we do then Watto & Blease have pulled off a real coup.
Good luck Koppy, thanks for the memories and you'll always be welcome back.π

Oh and I can't believe Koppy's song never really took off on the terraces, not sure who created it but it's an absolute corker!
For those that missed it...

Kopczak, the lad from Eccleshill, Kopczak, his name is hard to spell, We know that it starts K, O & P, What comes next? We think it's a C!

Confirmed to be going Wakey, quite surprisingly only on a 1 year deal.

Officially announced as a Wakefield player. Always hard to see a good player in another clubs colours (albeit only a hoodie so far)
Interesting it is only a one year deal. Seems odd that he would have had his head turned by that. I wonder if that is why it took a long time to sort while Koppy decided if he wanted it?
