People need to give over with all this Toronto bullshit. It Will eat them up then alive!!!! No RFL conspiracy if they get there, they get there. Same as Leeds. We gave cheap pen away and they won. Same as against Toronto, Hastings deserved to go. Let’s just enjoy what we have I agree to an extent, there is no conspiracy and Toronto won’t be in Super League next year, but we were still robbed in that Leeds game. Never a penalty. It’s no coincidence that Child was dropped after that.

If he was ‘supposed’ to let Leeds win by instruction of the RFL/SL or whoever then surely he did as he was told and wouldn’t have been stood down.
So evidently it was just poor refereeing on his part and no conspiracy of any sort has taken place.

These people are individuals who have moved through the ranks to the top of our game but due to a dwindling talent pool some are simply not up to the job. The problem lies with the direction of the match officials department. There are too many people on ego trips and many justifying their positions by ludicrous “ interpretations of the laws of the game “ I would say, there were two match officials who would go out of their way to be difficult with our club because they resented the abuse they received from one of our past coaches. Remember they are only human and abusing them can be counter productive.

Bottom line is that Child’s made an arse of himself and is paying the price,so hopefully a lesson he will learn. #noconspiracy

Depends who we sign. If we manage to get a more balanced squad than last year and avoid a similar injury crisis I’d say top 8. As others have pointed out our first choice spine is now pretty impressive.
I’d feel more confident if we signed a couple of decent props and a couple of wingers/centres.

I know our game can't afford it, but what a difference two refs would make. The ruck is clean nearly every time in Australia now, and it'd be much harder to con the ref with pretending high shots or ball steals. If we could afford it, it's the one big change I'd make. But we'd have to seriously grow the talent pool, and accept that we should pay more for our refs. The game is so fast these days, it's bloody hard for one person to keep tabs on everything they're supposed to see. Childs isn't bent, he's just not really very good, and the sheer difficulty of the job accentuates it. Video replays are cruel too, giving us the benefit of multiple angles, super slo mo, etc. Who'd be a ref? At least with two, they can police the defensive line and the ruck at the same time. I'd love to see trials at least.

Simple solution, have the linesmen police the 10 metre lines.

I think he revels in the spotlight and the last minute penalty gave him the platform that he wanted. In conclusion,he’s crap. Thats history now,we survived so onwards and upwards.

Simple solution, have the linesmen police the 10 metre lines. Been saying that for years. Also wish they were more confident in calling out foul play and forward passes.

The proof of pudding is in the eating. It's probably still better than the shanty town at Wakefield. We moved because John Wilkinson wanted Barton to be his legacy. Not because of the RFL.
