Who are your top 3 players of the regular season?
For me, it's a tough choice. At the start of of the season I didn't think anyone would surpass Robert Lui but he hasn't even made my top 3. I think Junior S'au has come on leaps and bounds this season, especially when he went through a period of scoring week in week out. Carney has also been decent but missed too many games to make the cut. So for me, it's:
1) Craig Kopczak 2) Josh Jones 3) Gareth O'Brien

Can't disagree with those but like you Sau is up there and for me Griffin deserves a mention as well as MCB (highest ave meter maker and 5 tries from limited opportunities) along with Evalds who has proved his value as a player who is in the right place at the right time to score points.

Yeah I think I'd go with those to.
Special mentions to Sau, Carney, and Lui.
Most improved player?
Probably Sau, but Tomkins would be a close second.
Disappointments so far?
The Walnes and Hauraki for me. Not improved over the course of the season enough.

He may not have improved massively during the course of the season, but for me, he has made a significant improvement on last season especially when you look at his stats from both this season and last. He has carried a shoulder injury since magic weekend though which may have affected the latter half of his season. Agree about Weller and Jordan Walne though.

I think the true player of the year can only be selected once the playoffs are done and dusted when our fate/destiny will be determined. Nobody honestly deserves it momentarily, with too many below par performances by all players. Then again the playoffs could unearth a player who's performances are such high octane of match-winning displays worthy of the player of the year award.
Most improved is George Griffin by a country mile.

All of the players mentioned above. Particulary impressed with Kopczak and G.Griffin though, considering they work they have both put in this year. George has massively improved since last year.

The good thing about Griffin is when they new props come in and he can revert to the 2nd row or loose he will benefit hugely from the experience this year of the front row and skills he will have added to his game.

Our best player, week in week out,has been GOB. Lui and Dobson have been an excellent partnership. Special mention for Kopczak and JJ. Our most improved player, for me,has been Junior Sau

I know a lot of people don't rate him, but he does a tremendous amount of work, in defence as well

Dobson is more the type of player you miss when he's not there.

Player of the year is a tough one this year. Forward - koppy . Backs - GOB / JJ . Most improved GG.
RE Dobson, he is organised but his defence is his Achilles heel. If he was to improve on that part I would be really happy with overall leadership. He's just vulnerable especially 10m from our line

Well you are going to miss a tackle or two eventually. For me the player of the year, never seen him have a bad game. Superb organiser, 100%, 80 minute player

It's a shame MCB hasn't spent more time on the pitch as his current form is spectacular.
