Can I be at least one of if not the 1st to thank Marwan for saving Salford for the 2nd time by funding the Hastings signing.

But yeah we have a lot to thank Marwan for. However, we now need to find an alternative way to raise the extra cash we need to keep Jackson as we can't keep relying on Marwan. Does anyone know exactly how much more Wigan have offered him than we have? If it's £20k-£30k and we have 1000 season ticket holders I'm sure we'd all gladly stump up £20-£30 each to keep him for next season, I know I would!!

From what I’ve seen it is more to do with who else we sign - he wants to be sure we can at least give it a good go next season. The story of his dragging us through a great season and a high league finish would do his image wonders and probably bag him a big contract back home. |

I'm a fan of Marwan in so much as he's saved our club on a couple of occasions now. His initial purchase of the club and funding the Jackson Hastings short Term deal. Let's face it without Jackson Hastings I feel we would be dead in the water now. Marwan obviously has his foibles which include winding the RFL up and unleashing tirades after a few sherbets on Twitter, but in reality, he must be a real Salford fan to fund the short term deal from his own pocket. I'd also wager that if Jackson stays with us, which we are all hoping for, that Marwan will be helping out financially in some way. Let's at least acknowledge his positive input to our club. |

It’s not a case of negatives vs positives, we’re not judging the man here, we’re recognising and thanking him for financing the Hastings signing which has secured our SL status. Sometimes you can assess someone’s positive actions without shooting it down with an unrelated negative and vice versa. |

And say we signed on a 3 Yr deal we could offer him a free release at season end to the NRL but put a release clause for other SL teams in there.

I think he’s saying we can’t thank/appreciate Koukash for getting us Hastings because of other things he’s done in the past (name change, twitter comments etc). The mind boggles at some of our fan base and their mentality. |
