I’m gutted the Toulouse game has moved. Was looking forward to a bit of a weekend match party. I can still go but it takes the edge off. I feel sorry for those that can’t. It would have been a good way to celebrate the remarkable turn round in our season

You don't have to imagine next season. It has just happened to the Toulouse supporters.
It is contemptible.
Seriously? Surely the transatlantic games have to be set in stone? As an aside Air Transat have had a terrible few days with endless cancellations and delays, imagine if the team from Europe couldn't get there, no chance of a coach trip like we had during the Ash crises a few years ago. Did you go to The Catalan game by Coach? I believe the Salford fans Received a Hand job (Round of Applause and a Free Sausage In a Bap. I consider the Perpignan saucisse. Sausages the Best in Super League.

Yes, I seriously think it's contemptible: if you're a Toulouse supporter who has booked a weekend to come to Britain you've just been shafted.
Just looking at it from the Toulouseans' point of view. OK, this is difficult for us - a few days in the south of France without rugby is still a few days in the south of France, but even a proud Essayan like me, born in Albert Street, will admit that a couple of days by the Irwell won't be quite as nice as being outside a cafe and a few bottles of Pellforth where the average temperature is more temperate.
Transatlantic games set in stone? Don't see why. If it can be done to Toulouse supporters then why not the Canadians or us? Depends, I suppose on how much the Canadian sponsors are bothered enough to dispute what Sky demands of Superleague or the RFL.
PS The coach to Perpignan? Wish I'd have thought of that - my sciatica wasn't so bad in those days.

If anybody wants to make use of 2 adult and 2 kid ST's for the Toulouse game, let me know. Daughters presentation evening at high school so none of us can make it. Absolute shambles. I'm still fuming.

I'd say the transatlantic games are probably the ones least likely to cause a worry for supporters - surely anyone travelling over for the game would be more likely to factor in a bit of time either side of the game to make the trip worthwhile, as a lot of people do with Perpignan. it's the short notice moves of other games where people have booked train travel there and back for the day where they are more likely to lose out.

I disagree with you there, masked one. I'd say it's a one in four chance that one would catch the game. I reckon that a Sunday game brought forward to a Thursday will see half the supporters in the air or about to board when the game starts if they can't get their money back.
I've been to all the away games in Perpignan (apart from the cup game because of Eyjafjallajökull) and I stay four or five days according to how well I've negotiated it with the missus, but if the games had been brought forward three days I'd have missed half of them, and if they'd been put back three days I'd have missed all of them. If Toronto get promoted then that will be two away games requiring air travel (and with TOxiii that's three potential cup ties). I mean, I love the game, but neither my boss, my missus or my pockets will stand for five days for each away fixture. Must buy a lottery ticket this week.

I couldn't originally go on the Sunday due to working shifts, but I can make the Thurs, so if they are going spare, then I will use em. Like I say don't worry if you have got anyone else in mind. Let me know and I`ll make arrangements to collect them from you. Cheers

Fine by me - rather they get used than go to waste. Are you at the Supporters Trust soiree in Irlam on Tuesday? If you are I can hand them over there. If not, will send you my address to collect.
