Gutted to be missing this as get the feeling it will be end to end stuff as can't see Widnes staying as rubbish as they curently are and we do seem to be a team they like to beat.
Watson has a full strength side to pick from too which after this years injury woes is a welcome change.
Kris Welham
Junior Sa’u
Niall Evalds
Rob Lui
Craig Kopczak
Josh Jones
Mark Flanagan
Lama Tasi
Ryan Lannon
Ben Nakubuwai
Josh Wood
Derrell Olpherts
Lee Mossop
Jake Bibby
Daniel Murray
Ed Chamberlain
Greg Burke
Jackson Hastings
Joey Lussick
Just hope I get of the golf course in time and find it on an obscure channel in Belgium (any suggestions?)

On the Widnes forum they all think that we'll hammer them. So it'll be a close game then. Haha.
Looking at their side Lui and Hastings should rip them apart. I think we need to be ruthless in the first twenty minutes as it will finish them off early as I don't think they are in a good place mentally or morale-wise. if they are still within a score at halftime it will give them confidence and we'll get nervous. Rattling in early points is going to be key.

Couldn't agree more R'Kyd, have said a few times we are at our best when we employ blitzkrieg rugby.
All guns blazing from the of and we will shatter an already non existent confidence.
Points difference could well be a factor this time round so piling it on is paramount.

What the hell were they thinking letting us get chamberlain and Burke for weller? Steal of the century Am betting that their combined salaries are less than Wellers was. Plus they're each best part of a decade younger than he is. As i've stated I am happy to move well away from the big name/big salary days and look again at young, hungry up-and-coming players looking to make a career in the game. Both these lads fall well into this category.

It’s these type of games that make me nervous. Confidence is high, better team on paper, betting favourites- classic Salford let down territory!
Win this and we’ve got room to slip up twice elsewhere (Toronto and Leeds). Lose and the Toronto game is massive.
I think it will be close but a Salford win. Please dont let us down lads!

We need to stop giving away penalties and have a word with Lussick at HT Watson.

That Lussick isn’t half bad. They made hard work of it but pulled through in the end. Lui’s two assists were pretty special

Indeed. But what does Watson see in Darrell Olpherts. !?!? Far better bet than Bibby - look at the yardage Olpherts makes and is rarely given a run by Junior.

Indeed. But what does Watson see in Darrell Olpherts. !?!? Potential.
He made a few errors today. That's the way of things. But experience breeds confidence. He makes hard yards, and Watson likes a winger who helps out his forwards.
As for the game, we only really played well for 60 minutes or so. First part of the game it was fifty-fifty. I've been saying all week that our spine of Hastings, Lui, Lussick/Wood, and Evalds is too good to be losing to Widnes and those players played key parts in all our scores today. Second half we were good, but first half we were meh. But we still didn't really look like losing today regardless. Hastings organised really well, Lui was the bit of x-factor that we expect. Evalds as good as ever, Lussick adds something different we've been needing. Forwards were good.
Feels good to be progressing with two from two so far.

Thought we were professional, laid the foundations in the first half and tired Widnes out - got the rewards later on
Could have won by more but 2 out of 2 now , more than happy

Indeed. But what does Watson see in Darrell Olpherts. !?!? Everyone will have a their take on the game.I don't think Olpherts will ever make it.He looses the ball twice near our twenty five he drops the ball when he should be going under the posts we got lucky with that one.For me Biby offers more its all right saying he is in because of potential but we are playing seven games for our survival we are not good enough to be carrying passengers.I also think Chanberlain is wasted on the wing and should be in the centre we won so we can enjoy the rest of the weekend but is that the worst Widnes team ever, certainly in my sixty odd years of watching the game it comes quite close.Their was a rumour going round that if we stay up Hastings as signed a two year contract.
