Not sure if im correct but seem to think that in previous years the bottom 2 in SL got 3 home games, all vs Championship teams? Given these teams are likely to include Toronto, Toulouse and Leigh then would it not be prudent to try and avoid getting these teams away from home? I realise I may be clutching at straws a little here.

I don't think we are good enough to influence where we finish.

I know it will all change but as it stands at the moment we'd play Toronto, Halifax and Widnes at home. Leeds, Hull KR, Toulouse and Fev away.

To be honest I'm not sure where the next win is coming from. A few have questioned the effort of some during the last few weeks. Not been to the last 4 games so can't comment personally.

I've only been to the home games so can't comment on how we performed at Warrington or KR but I'm going to call it now. MCB and Jackson Hastings to come in and we'll finish in the top 3 of the middle 8's and stay in super league.

Warrington ... huge effort, Rovers ... as IW said "fell away". In fact we were really clobbered just before half-time after a bright start, they then relaxed and we scored a few only for them to wake up and win. It isn't effort that concerns me but the injuries we are covering.

I reckon we'll be in the MPG - just hope it's at home. I think we'd need to win 5 of the 7 games to finish in the top 3 and avoid the MPG - I can't see us winning 5 on current form and the teams listed above. Three wins should be enough to get in the MPG - I think that's achievable; beat say Fev, Halifax, and one of the SL teams. Roughly this time last year I was working out how many points we'd need to stay in the top 4 come the end of the season, and saying how the top 4 at the end of the regular season has always been the same 4 as at the end of the Super 8s. Trust us to buck that trend. And how times have changed

Am I alone in thinking Sinfield & Lowes isn't the answer to Leeds' problems. With the recruitment in place I reckon we'll be OK in the middle 8's & superleague 2019 here we come.

If the fixture formula is the same as the last couple of years, this is who we would get depending on where we finish:
11th Place Fixture Formula
Home vs. Championship 1st Home vs. Super League 12th Home vs. Championship 3rd
Away at Super League 9th Away at Super League 10th Away at Championship 2nd Away at Championship 4th
10th Place Fixture Formula
Home vs. Championship 2nd
Home vs. Super League 11th
Home vs. Super League 12th Home vs. Championship 4th
Away at Super League 9th
Away at Championship 1st Away at Championship 3rd
5 wins has always been good enough to finish in the top three. 4 wins should get you in the Million Pound Game, but not necessarily at home.

After watching the game against Cas I just cannot see how form can be turned round. To have so many injuries at the same time with our small squad is killing us. Hastings no matter how good he is cannot turn round the whole teams form. 7 wins out of 31 tells it’s own sorry tale

On the positive side I think that Hastings (from what I have read) is exactly what was missing from that Cas performance - organisation, decent kicking and someone to control the game to allow Lui to play off the cuff. I don’t think we’ll turn into world beaters but we now have a much better chance in the ‘winnable’ middle 8s games.

Our best hope is that we get Widnes, Toronto and Toulouse at the AJ Bell, if Leigh dont make it to the 8's then we could have away games at Featherstone and London or Halifax. No disrespect to those teams but with a few bodies back from injury and a couple of new faces then can see us potentially getting to golden 8 points required for survival. Definitely do not want the £1m game vs an expansion team as the cynic in me says there will be several 'ropey' decisions going against us.

What are the provisions if Toronto are in the MPG?
Will a team from Europe have to travel to Canada with such short notice or will it be played at a neutral venue over here?

There was a thread on another forum suggesting Brian Noble made a presentation to the British Canadian Chamber of Commerce a couple of weeks ago proposing they would play in Toronto in the middle 8s, with the format being:
Wk 1: Away Wk 2: Away [Cup final] Wk 3: Home Wk 4: Home Wk 5: Away Wk 6: Home Wk 7: Home
This was, supposedly, before Rob Elstone had met with the club. Elstone is on record saying that he is anxious about Toronto Wolfpack.

Sorry but Toronto shouldn't get any dispensation in the middle 8's, they choice to play in a league located on a different continent.
If they have games formatted that way everyone else much have the same, easier to build momentum with 2 homes games lumped together.
