This team have given up weeks ago. Most will already have a SL contract in back pocket for 2019. The question needs to be asked in how long do we stick by Watson? Players dont seem to be playing for him at all. The middle 8's could be a car crash.

Correct me if I’m wrong but with Wood on the field we out scored them. With Wood off we got hammered. It was the same against Widnes - looked far better with him on and at scrum half. Watson seemed to have real faith in him at the start of the season but no longer does.
I’m not saying he is the answer to our problems but it’s just one of the weird decisions being made.

We will probably be playing Hull KR in the Middle 8s, so today's result doesn't bode well.
Add Leeds, Toronto and Toulouse in to the mix and it looks rather bleak.

Marwan got rid of them all. If we go down our squad will be starting from zero as all current contracts will be void. It sounded like a horror show from us today but it's hard not to have a begruding respect for HKR. Relegated in the cruellest possibly way but still managed to average 7k outside the top flight. If we go down we'll be lucky to pull in 1500. Let's just hope we can play the mpg at home and the presence of the once a year Salford fans might be enough to keep us up. |

Fair enough and good to see someone thinking sensibly. But building a decent squad with sub 1500 crowds will be a big challenge.
Our best hope is for a 14 team SL to be announced for next year with no relegation happening this season.
