Widnes in a worse position than us put up a better show than we have for weeks. Catalan have pulled themselves out of the Mire. Huddersfield are out of trouble now. Wakefield who I always compare ourselves to just battered Wigan ffs. That’s what I mean. All clubs have pressure and are fighting down at the bottom of the league. Our lot just appear to have given up.

What's sad for me is,that Koucash selected the board then pushed them out in a boat without a paddle. You would have fought having made the change he would have given them an even chance but he just let them flounder.

There is fault on all sides. The players not playing to their ability, the coaching staff not having right tactics, the board for not giving the coach the resources he needs, the previous owner for burying the club in the financial hole we are in.
Finally the fans, the only thing we can do is continue to show our loyalty to the club. I know 1st hand that coming isnot something to look forward to currently. In fact my own brother, a lapsed season ticket holders argument is 'why should I go to watch a **** team?'. This may be the case for many fans. Simple answer, beacuse as we so vociforously argued in the rebrand issue, it is our club.
And it is dying without us.

I take on board most peoples views on this discussion forum and everyone is entitled to there thoughts and opinions. Me personally will be there on Thursday shouting my support and hopefully seeing a Salford win that just maybe inspire the team to provide confidence and a bit of a lift whilst we head towards the middle 8. I really cannot blame those that have `given up` as I`m quite sure we have all felt like that at some stage over the past years or so. The arguments as regards money/team selection and tactics etc is blatantly there for all to see. Other posts on Scarlet Turkey see the vultures in the wings....Koppy back to Huddersfield...Jones off to Hull and so on. Again you really cant blame them and no doubt when we are relegated and contracts not renewed then all the decent ones will be off as quick as a hand going up a bride`s nightie. We all know it is a sad state of affairs but equally we all know that there are about 2,000 diehards currently suffering with depression due to our predicament and the thought of our demise. Until its over, we still have fight. Get down on Thursday and support your team and hopefully, fingers x and everything else, we just might stay up. Some may say we are just prolonging the agony but come on, this club is in your blood...We are SALFORD and please for those that are disillusioned and like I say I really don't blame you, please don't get at me for being passionate about my club.

I’ll be there on Thursday and will keep supporting the club as much as I can (live in Liverpool but come to all home games, don’t buy all the excuses to why people can’t get there), but as the previous poster said, I can’t blame people for not turning up.
A few years ago I would’ve been devastated at the thought of relegation but after taking stock I think we can all admit that we’ve been punching above our weight for years even being in this league. We don’t have the tools to be a Superleague club and simply cannot compete at this level anymore. I don’t know what the future would hold if we went down and it may take years to get back up but I’d rather see the club be able to stand on its own 2 feet and bring youngsters through, whilst having the chance to compete rather than getting battered most weeks (which is what will happen if we say up and lose players.
I think our days of visiting the big teams are nearly up so let’s all get behind them until the end of the season and see what happens

Excellent post. Completely agree and can't blame the ones who've had enough and don't want to pay hard earned dosh to watch the tripe we've seen. But, if we all throw the towel in then what happens?. The whole of RL knows what situation we're in and I'd love nothing more than for us to turn this around, as difficult as it will be. A certain amount of player confidence comes from the terraces and that's down to US the fans. So let's keep doing our bit.

I asked the question months ago & was poo pooed on here. I could relate to 3 of the member being passionate Salford fans, however where did Aslif come from! A-plant near St Helens, for someone who was co-opted to the board with marketing experience I have thought he would have been the most visible in promoting the club.

Asif Latief has been involved with the Red Devil’s Foundation for quite a long time,I think that he may be one of the trustees and anyone who feels that he isn’t passionate about the club should have heard him speak at the meetings that he attended along with the other board members. The board may well be working hard behind the scenes and as has people have previously stated they will need time to sort the problems out.
